The Dark Knight (2008)
The type of film which doesn't wants yourself to check how far you are into the movie.
This film is the perfect thriller. It's so gripping and it makes you feel happy and in a way relieved that you've discovered a film as good as this. Now, the actors and their character roles. Christian Bale, who plays the intimidating, determined Batman. When he is not Batman he is then Bruce Wayne. A billionaire with a serious attitude and the shooting of his parents made him the person he is. To nail this role takes a lot of skill and I think that Christian Bale has the nail right on the head with this one. He's that good I will only ever remember him for this role. Secondly, Heath Ledger, who played The Joker, he put so much effort and time into this Joker who is very psychopathic, mass murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy. He was that dedicated to the role that it actually killed him in the end. It's very sad, but we now know that he was an unbelievable actor and I think that only he could play this role, no-one else. To anyone who wants to see this film with these two great actors in one movie, there will be one and oh boy hasn't it done us all good to see these two actors acting like they are they are the actual people. Well done, an absolutely amazing film.
Planet Earth (2006)
Absolutely Mindblowing!
This series is probably one of the best series I have ever watched. This fascinating documentary drags me in every time I watch it. David Attenborough's way of explaining of how creatures breed, eat etc is like no other before, he's the best wildlife narrator that will ever live. They spent five years on this wildlife, and I think that it was definitely worth it. It is the most expensive nature documentary series ever commissioned by the BBC, and it was the first ever in high definition. So really, it set the bar for high picture quality. The BBC did it perfectly in the way of organising it for the episodes, it just flowed perfectly. There won't be another nature documentary like this one.
So if you don't watch it, you're missing out massively.
