An emotionally triggering movie with just the right amount of humour
18 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Going into the movie I had not read any reviews or synopsis or watched previews so I had little knowledge of what was going to happen or what the movie was regarding. As my review title says it was emotionally triggering due to the content of the movie and for a bit I thought it might not get any happier. But then a pregnant Marisol shows up with her husband and kids and her accent gave grumpy Otto a reason to keep going. The topics in this movie are deep and emotional: suicide, cancer, Parkinson's Disease, power of attorney (situations), transgender, love, friendship, and more. Led by Tom Hanks, the movie is a love story from start to finish and is beautifully made but not the easiest to get through without tissues. It's not a bad idea to bring close friends along too in case you need a shoulder or a hug.

Boring
11 November 2021
For a nearly 3 hour movie I expected more. I was bored after 15 minutes and it did not get any better. I went to see the movie because a friend wanted to and he enjoys 007. He seemed fairly bored too but said it was okay except for the romantic stuff.

WTF WILL FERRELL?!
16 May 2020
Will Ferrell, DARREN WAS NOT A COMIC OR A FUNNY CHARACTER! You totally ruined this movie! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Bewitched, the show, and was incredibly excited to see this movie, but the minute Will Ferrell starts with his cheap, sophomoric humour I was immediately disappointed and angry. Will Ferrell was good on SNL, but your comedic punchlines are dull and overdone.

Nicole Kidman and Shirley MacClaine were the only positives for the movie.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
16 May 2020
For a 2 HOUR and 29 MINUTE movie that was hyped up a lot in the previews, I expected A WHOLE LOT MORE than the movie gave us. About 20 or 30 minutes in, I thought "ok, and..."...It just dragged and dragged and felt like there was no point at all.

I thought the actors did a nice job, but the story was dull and boring. I wanted to peace out of the theater after about an hour.

If you ever wanted to see an over-hyped movie with a dull story line, this is the one for you. Otherwise, save your money and your 3 hours!!!

HILARIOUS SHOW, SAD IT GOT CANCELLED
16 May 2020
I guess I'm not surprised that one of the funniest shows on TV was cancelled. It is one of those shows that I feel like many people didn't even know about until it was picked up by HULU. It would be great if HULU would bring it back and make more episodes too! The show has some typical funny moments, but I think the actors really did a great job of zoning in on their characters and the funny lines. I can't imagine being a part of this family (if it were in real life) because they have a pretty dramatic family, but it would keep you laughing if you sat back and thought about it. I love this show! It's an easy watch with a great cast. The writers did an incredible job too!

Humorous & Cute
20 July 2014
A light hearted comedy that takes on parenthood from a young father's perspective.

It's obvious this is just a television show version of parenthood, but it tackles many emotions that a new parent would/could possibly go through.

Considering that it is on ABC Family, it's packed with plenty of cheesy comedy for an easy laugh and an easy watch but it also tackles some deeper topics like child abandonment, forcing a kid to grow up, and more. It's definitely a show I look forward to watching each week.

Starring the handsome and cute 20 something "daddy" Jean-Luc Bilodeau is adorable in the role and honestly, who wouldn't want him to be the "baby daddy?!"
