Bonanza: Twilight Town (1963)
Whas Little Joe Dreaming?
The episode itself proves that souls 'cursed' have a lesson to learn. In any respects, the town had to learn courage, Little Joe had to teach that lesson in order for him and the town to 'grow up' on the path of life. I realize at the end, when Little Joe's love interest tried to tell him the truth of their existence it was all to late. Mrs O'Brien realized Little Joe was different, and he lead the town to courage which her husband had failed to do. Out in the desert, out in the wilderness, we have to truly appreciate the mysteries that happen along the way. Twilight Zone or not, this episode reflects our own mysteries of life. Why was the horse stolen and why did Little Joe go through this situation? That's really the big question I wanted to know, of Little Joe's adventures why this? Was he the chosen one for the redemption of this 'cursed' town? Perhaps! Little Joe had to grow up himself, and prove his worth to those 'trapped' as he is a man they can vouch for in the afterlife.
The River's Edge (1957)
Man and Wife, Stolen Money, and Mayhem!
This is perhaps the best films made about a farmer marrying a woman, who knew about if not took part in stolen money, and a plot to escape the country. If this is about a marriage gone wild, this will work.
Movie Plot Summary, an unsuspecting farmer marries a woman with a dark past that catches up with them, and the guy who stole the money wants the woman back, husband to get them out, and make husband watch his wife with him! It's practically a love triangle movie. Good girl fell for bad guy, and tries to clean herself with a good guy. Never work! Through the whole movie, the farmer watches painfully as his wife is in the arms of the other man, making out in the trailer. If anything, if marriage is put in doubt then there's your answer. :)
The Distinguished Gentleman (1992)
The Professor Scene...
When Eddie was dressed as a professor to visit the grieving widow, the conversation flowed to obtaining the campaign items and Mrs Johnson did let him have it!
Interesting to note, Mrs Johnson admired the Professor's physical fitness. It suggested something to the tone... "My husband never gave me any, since he was doing the secretary, now its MY turn!"
If you replay the scene where Eddie Murphy approaches Mrs Johnson of obtaining the campaign items, the flow later suggests she like to hit on a black man. Notice Eddie's "squirmyness" as Mrs Johnson's interest peaks. ;)
I could be wrong, but Mrs Johnson likes variety in her men. :)
