Oppenheimer (2023)
This is definitely a Christopher Nolan film.
I just watched this movie, and it is an ambitious film in portraying Robert Oppenheimer. The cast which you may know were in the movie and some you didn't know had small roles were all excellent. I thought Murphy and RDJ were the standouts. The one role who I thought seemed superfluous was Florence Pugh's character. To me she didn't seem too vital to the story aside from seeing her boobs in IMAX. Nolan could've put anyone in that role, and it would have had the same superficial effect. Aside from that the only quibble I have is the score is sometimes so loud that I could NOT understand what some of the characters were saying. As for the rest of the film it was relentless in telling Oppenheimer's story. It was as well made as cinema can get nowadays. You were absolutely immersed in the mid to late 40's . So much so that if you aren't a person even mildly knowledgeable about the subject then you may get lost as this film does not hold your hand in explaining what is occurring.
The Idol: Jocelyn Forever (2023)
I went ahead and watched this so you don't have to.
After hearing of the controversy regarding this show I was curious and watched the show. And it is awful. The first three episodes went nowhere and really as the review had said was torture porn. The fourth episode advanced the plot a little but still bad. And it was obvious that HBO controlled the damage from the mess it is and rushed the last episode as bad as D&D did with GOT. Character development is thrown out. Direction is terrible. Eli Roth's character is horrified in one shot. And then excited in the very next shot. It's laughable. And it ends with Tedros in hock to Jocelyn. There that's how it ends. I had guessed this from episode 1. Now you don't have to watch it.
Critter Fixers: Country Vets (2020)
Wholesome and Entertaining!
I just finished watching the first season of this show on Disney+ and I have to say I really hope to see a second season. The two doctors are obviously knowledgeable but also good men who love animals and are dedicated to their professions. I also like their staff as they all seemed to be dedicated to their jobs. Good show! Second season please!
