Super Película para Chicas!
16 December 2019
THIS MOVIE MADE ME SHOUT OUT LOUD, DANCE, SCREAM IN FRUSTRATION, AND AT THE END I WAS SINGING ALONG WITH THE WOMEN, THE GREAT LYRICS TO "A QUIÉN LE IMPORTA"!!! Honestly, I don't understand why there's such a low average rating. Maybe it has to do with the cultural barrier that's built in to this type of movie. As someone who is "MexicoAmericana", (like the song by La Santa Cecilia), I completely get the movie. Whenever I was in Mexico, whether for school or to visit, the only important thing appeared to be the possibility of my marriage. This movie hits all the pressure points that a woman faces. Especially in a culture where at 30 you are considered left on shelf. Watch it, and you can enjoy it beyond expectations, if you remember that not every culture is American.

This episode is cruel and unusual punishment
9 May 2018
This truly horrific episode does one thing right, it showcases what really bad acting is. The person playing Karen Walker should be banned from screens large and small, in fact ban her from any and all stages! I kept watching to see if it would get better before the end, but instead I spent the episode praying for bullet to kill Karen Walker and save humanity from this inhuman torture.

Originally a stage play, this adaptation shows us the loyalty friendship and honor that make Don Quixote and Sancho Panza's adventures still resonate.

A different vision of that melancholy gentleman, Don Quixote de la Mancha and his adventures with his loyal friend Sancho Panza. Don Quixote lives obsessed with his role as a wandering gentleman and the codes of honor that accompany his chosen life, but it's Sancho Panza who makes us see the real person behind all the posturing. It's a wonderfully nostalgic movie, that although is not quite a true adaptation of the stage play by the same name, nevertheless is able to make us laugh and tries to teach the values of humility, loyalty, true love, honor and friendship. The costumes were quite well done and the general feel of the movie was fun yet honest. It took me back to my childhood and watching old movies in Spanish with my father at home. Mario Moreno, "Cantinflas" does an excellent job and his comedic timing is as always excellent!
