Lewis Black: Black on Broadway (2004)
Lewis Black, The King Of His World
This special is Lewis Black at his best. Almost everything he says will make you laugh, i have never seen a comedian talk about almost anything and make people laugh. I don't think any other comedian would find subjects like Milk appealing. Some jokes are old but still funny, like his economics days. He just simply adds on to his old jokes but they are still funny. Originally taped in 2003, not that anyone cares about that. He does seemed long winded on some subjects, like the water subject, where he is telling a story and he keeps going on and on, and catches off guard and tells a joke.
The 22 hour plane ride was my favorite story, makes me look at coach seats a lot differently. Overall 10 stars, Lewis Black is non-stop funny.
WWE Survivor Series (2002)
Tremendous Effort On This Event
This introduced the Elimination Chamber to wrestling fans. An amazing structure which made Hell In The Cell look like a toy. You can tell that the wrestlers were trying to get use to it, because things did seem to move slow at the beginning. RVD was the most impressive in the Chamber. The Womens Division takes one more step ahead with a hardcore title match with Trish and Victoria. The post match interviews on DVD are amazing, because the wrestlers are telling the truth and it gives matches like the two i just mentioned a little more flare, because it cannot be easy on these athletes to take so much pain and yet still hear people say it is fake. Overall, 9 stars, this event deserves it.
Meet the Parents (2000)
Light Hearted Comedy Flick
This movie was really good, Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller have unbelievable chemistry. This movie is very funny, almost every scene has a piece of comedy in it. The race to the house was my favorite scenes, the stop lights just added such good comedy. Great casting in this movie, poor Nicole DeHuff, her career shortened earlier this year, but this movie will allow us to remember her and she will be missed. Her scene with her getting hit by the volleyball was a hit scene for Meet The Parents.
The only downside to this film is from the middle of the film, it seems to get dumber and dumber, but the introduction of the name Gaylord Focker made almost everyone laugh. Who would of thought one name would be a hit line.
Overall, 8 stars, very good, and 5 years later, would be joined by an even bigger sequel.
