This movie made me lose all respect and allegiance for M.Night Shyamalan
10 July 2015
I liked Shyamalan's earlier films like Sixth Sense, The Village, Unbreakable and Signs. I admired the fact that there was an Indian director doing so well in Hollywood. I was skeptical when he was announced as director for an action blockbuster movie but since the anime was so perfect, how could he ruin it? I couldn't have been more wrong.

I've watched the anime more than 30 times. It is my all-time favourite show and with this movie, he destroyed all that was good about ATLA. How could a director mess up such a great show this bad? His ego got too big for him, and rather than take responsibility for his blunder he blames the viewing public and critics for not understanding his art of filmmaking.

This movie is one of the worst films to ever be made, the worst anime adaptation of all time and an example of bad filmmaking itself. Half the movie is useless exposition, cardboard characters, terrible acting, racial miscasting (I am Indian and was astonished that Shyamalan made the Fire Nation Indian because his ego called for it). It takes 10 minutes for a group of benders to move even one rock, how pathetic is that? This is not art; it's a waste of our time and money.

I lost all respect for Shyalaman after this movie. I don't hate him as a human being, but I do as a filmmaker. I am hoping that they will reboot this movie with a different director because it has the potential to be another Lord of the Rings.

Watch the anime show. Watch the movie with a group of friends later on to laugh at it.

Inside Out (I) (2015)

Amazing movie- Those who bash it because it is not a kid's movie, please stop

I've noticed a plethora of negative reviews all saying the same thing- their kids did not enjoy/ understand the movie and it was too dark. Yet they also say that the movie was well made and had an excellent concept. My question to these people is this- If you wanted to see a happy meaningless movie with adult toilet humour, why didn't you take your kids to see Minions? Inside out is for those who like quality cinema, to be entertained as well as taught challenging concepts. It is an artistic film. Why do you people always have to assume that all animated films have to be for kids and filled with stupid toilet humour? This is Pixar we are talking about, those who have created Wall-E and Up. Review this movie on its own merits, rather than be biased in your judgement that the film was too dark and confusing for kids. It was never marketed as a film for toddlers and little kids. I went with my brother who is in high school and it was one of the best experiences we had in the cinema in a very long time. Kudos to Pixar; it was truly an amazing, advanced conceptual, artistic film.

Excellent film

Amazing classic of Tamil Cinema. Sarathkumar in dual roles has truly carried the film. There is romance, revenge, suspense and comedy. K.S Ravikumar is an amazing underrated director and he has not failed us here. It is a beautifully shot drama. Nattamai (English: Village Chief) is a 1994 Tamil film directed by K. S. Ravikumar. It starred Sarath Kumar, Meena and Kushboo in the lead roles. The film became a blockbuster among 1994 Deepavali releases and completed a 175-day run at the box office. It is considered to be one of the most popular Tamil films of the 1990s and in general. The tagline Nattamai, theerpa maathi sollu became popular after release. It became a trendsetter for many big budget films in later years. The Goundamani-Senthil comic duo was one of the most popular aspects about the film.Sarath Kumar earned both the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor and Filmfare Award for Best Actor - Tamil for his performance in the film.

This movie is wasted potential

I seriously don't understand all the hype around this movie. And I have long decided that the Oscars are useless and made up of 60 year old white men who don't know the difference between a fun film and a critical film. I did not see this in theaters. Wish I did so I could have enjoyed the cinematography to the fullest. Storyline is extremely weak and boring. How did it win so many Oscars? Sandra Bullock is jumping from one space station to another in succession. I've seen way better space movies and I am a huge sci-fi fan. It was a disappointment and I am glad that I am not the only one of the audience who felt so. Critics have given this movie two thumbs up but judging from the reviews om IMDb seems to me the general public share my opinion. This movie is a waste like most other Hollywood trash these days.
