It's OK
3 March 2014
So I decided to watch this again and of course, for the second LBT movie it is way below the standard and beauty of the first movie. It is a bit boring at first but seems to get better as the movie goes on. There is an interesting theme of 'sympathy for the devil' as well which is probably the best part of the movie along with themes of tolerance for an innocence that could so easily turn on you and make you into dinner. Of course, most children will not mind this film but watching as an adult (although I am a bit childish myself), it isn't as great as I used to think it was. I think this is partly because the plot is a bit all over the place and seems to be lacking in some areas. Of course, no sequel can ever be as good as or beat the original because Don Bluth had no further part to play in any of these sequels. Overall I would give this movie a 5.5/10.

A Beautiful Movie: No Sequel Can Live Up To It
2 March 2014
This movie is very short at just over an hour long and it is a shame that a lot of bits that were deemed too 'violent' were edited out of it. Another bad thing that stopped me giving it a 10/10 was that the continuity wasn't great in a part which had obviously been edited. It has wonderful animation though, and the score is just beautiful, the plot is great and you will cry if you are lucky. There is a lot of character development considering how short the movie is and it can be interpreted in different ways. I personally believe that the plot of the movie was slightly different before it was edited, possibly having more death. One of the main themes of the movie is that if you stick together with friends and use your various talents, you can do anything and come through trials and tribulations easier than if you go alone. A must see for any child over 5.

Entertaining with Good Values
1 March 2014
This movie is good to watch and it is light and uplifting. There is a bit of an 'Ugly Duckling' theme going on with Petrie (and also with Guido) and it also shows how a new sibling as a kid can feel. The song 'Flip, Flap and Fly' is quite good and catchy and will make you feel more happy for Petrie. As usual, with all the HD 'Land Before Time' movies, it is bright and colourful. I am sure all Land Before Time fans will like this as well as children. I have given this a 7/10 because it is a very decent 'Land Before Time' sequel and isn't one of the worst and teaches that it is better to be yourself and make a revolution than trying to fit in when deep down you don't. In some parts of the movie, it probably does drag on a bit such as a certain scene near the middle-end. Overall, it is a good 'Land Before Time' sequel.

The Pirate Fairy (2014 Video)

Bright, Warm and Interesting
1 March 2014
I went to see this at the cinema and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think out of all the TinkerBell movies that I have seen (I have watched all of them apart from 'Secret of The Wings') this is possibly the most interesting as the plot happens outside Pixie Hollow and it also has a bit of a mystical feel to it. Most young girls will like this film, but also, people like me who like fantasy, fairies, animations and bright cheerful things. It is very neat and tidy. The only slight let down is that this movie would have been a good opportunity to feature Captain Hook, but then again, perhaps that would have got it too mixed up with the Peter Pan franchise. All in all, a wonderful movie to brighten up anyone's day. I gave this an 8/10 because it was so great!

Definitely Not The Best In The Series
28 February 2014
This movie will fully and seriously entertain anyone under 5 years old but if you are an adult, then it is so dire compared to the original that you will be in hysterics. It is a bright upbeat film but seems to be somewhat lacking in the plot a little. There isn't much 'atmosphere' in the movie. I think this is more humorous than anything. As long as you don't expect to be too engaged and you don't take it seriously and go along with its upbeat fun aspects, you will be able to have a chance of enjoying this movie, if however you expect it to be anything like the original or even previous sequels however then you will probably be bored and a bit shocked at what Land Before Time has become. I have given this movie a 5 out of 10 because despite it being one of the worst sequels in my opinion, it gets extra stars for being like an almost total funny mockery.
