What the hell...

With Josh "in the field" the show is close to a ten for overall entertainment. With this Phil and Jess, it's unwatchable!

I know Josh got messed up by the bat 💩 but I've never seen estimates on when he'll return and the 🔟 - Expedition Unknown w/Josh Gates will return. PLEASE someone - Josh, Discovery, a Superfan, ANYONE tell me when one of my favorite show on the Discovery + network will be back to normal, IF EVER!!!!!

"Is it live or is it Memorex" (dead give away of my age! LOL)

I understand the "negative" comments about the "staging and scripting", but I would challenge ANYONE to find a "Reality Show" that is or was 100% true to life without staging or scripting. Some have been so fake that it was found out that there was more scripting that REALITY.

What this show does show is the lifestyle that some people live and some things that people do to "survive and thrive". Is it staged? Sure, some of it is, but as far as I'm concerned is when I become a fan of a reality show, its because I like its ENTERTAINMENT VALUE and like the things I can learn. I'm a lifelong city boy, so real or staged, many of the things on Mountain Men offers me a chance to learn something I didn't know before.

I cannot believe these people...

...under the guise of making Liam "healthy" were absolutely brutal to this kid.

The "Aunt & Uncle" in this documentary are absolutely horrible human beings. They told him if he ran fast he could be "awesome". What does that tell him? You aren't awesome.

I CANNOT BELIEVE these self-righteous people would treat ANYONE that way, let alone treating a family member that way. I'm absolutely speechless the mental/emotional damage that Liam's family did during this documentary. I'm sure that we didn't see the worst of it.

Why don't these people tell stories about people like Bob Harper. Bob is/was the "trainer" on the NBC show The Biggest Loser who recently had a heart attack. Stop telling these kids that without eating "perfectly" and without "working out/exercising" you are worthless. When asked if he wanted to adhere to the rules on what he called "Veggie Island" that he could go home. His Aunt and Uncle want him to be what he isn't or they don't want him.

Pieces of s* * t!!! You should be ashamed of yourself. You aren't "role models", you are self righteous tyrants.

Good luck Liam. I'm afraid these "adults" in your life, who are supposed to be doing good things for you have done irreversible damage to you. I hope you don't end up in prison or a mental institution, but I'm afraid the die has been cast for your life. When you are old enough to decide where you go or who you associate with, realize that the two adults that were in this documentary DO NOT have your best interest in mind. They have a ridiculous mental image of the perfect little robot and you don't want that and don't deserve that.

The Brainwashing of My Dad (2015)

I'm baffled that this was even done. The fact that ANYONE, even the most staunch liberal, would say that conservatives in the media and conservatives who are "power-brokers" would need to "brainwash" anyone in America is troubling and almost surreal. It's not even an idea worth investigating, but Jen Senko did it anyway. I saw it on my Xfinity "On Demand" list of documentaries and thought it was a comedy when I pushed "start". If you can watch this, I'd invite you to do so. After you watch it, see if you can find a place to watch the MSNBC election night 2016 coverage with Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow. After watching the two video productions think about them and see if you can see where the concept of the US media having a "liberal bias" and see if you find it comical that Ms. Senko spent the money and took the time to make this "documentary". The MSNBC coverage, that was meant to be a coronation of Hillary Clinton, shows in the most tangible and in your face way that "liberal bias" is not only in existence, but it's alive and VERY WELL.

Also, think about this... when looking for documentaries LIKE THIS, there aren't any and that is for a reason. Because the entire concept is laughable.

What's Next...

...for this "franchise"? I'd love to see another season, but obviously it's not in the works. I like to see the variety of weapons, the competition shooting and the way that "pressure" affects otherwise awesome marksmen. I could do without the "house" part of the show, but I guess it does let you know who is loved and hated, which has a lot to do with the elimination part of the show.

If anyone knows anything about the future of this show, please let me know. I've searched the web and can't find anything about there even being a future for it. I understand that Colby and his brother have capitalized on the popularity of the show by setting up a ranch that allows people to schedule "vacations" that put them on the ranch and get the opportunity to do shooting that resembles the show's challenges. I'd love to get a chance to be on the show and/or visit the ranch and do some of the shooting challenges. I love the fact that this show puts GREAT shooters under pressure and shows how they fare when there is a little sweat on the brow!

Please HISTORY CHANNEL, bring the show back for another year. I love performance based "reality shows". Because even though the people elected for the elimination challenges aren't always the "weakest", when it comes right down to it, you have to hit the targets under pressure to move on. It's 110% fair.
