Bad Tenants, Rogue Landlords (2018)
Riveting!
I never thought learning the ins and outs of housing struggles in another country would be so Intriguing but when I discovered this, it was my life for days hehe
I was especially surprised to learn the protection of awful tenants and squatters. These landlords aren't from some large company but maybe just some normal person, many seem like accidental landlords with inheritance or upgrading and taking the chance that could change their futures forever by having property rented. But then they become at risk going bankrupt having to pay for their home and the one with the awful tenant who stops paying for months.
The Terror (2018)
You'll fall for the crew and Silna of course
"The Terror" (2019) first season delivers a captivating narrative centered around the ill-fated Franklin expedition, weaving a gripping tale of survival and horror in the Arctic. The show's strength lies not only in the historical intrigue but also in its ability to breathe life into a rich cast of characters. It truly invites viewers to form a deep connection with the crew, enhancing the overall viewing experience. I read the book afterward and I have to say that this was a rare case of the show being better than the novel.
The show's fanbase on platforms like Tumblr is a testament to its ability to resonate with audiences, making it a compelling choice for those seeking a blend of history and suspense in their comfort shows.
Jo Frost on Britain's Killer Kids (2017)
My newly discovered binge
My nanny Jo! I love her as host .Her experience with children is not from a behavioral health background ,specifically, but, she wouldnt have been so successful with out such insight of children and family dynamics.
On the cases, although I'm in the States I do reach out for crime shows and news from all over the work so I was surprised I never heard of these ones. They did not use the most common cases you would see in other documentaries.
In Search of the Dead (2019)
Beautiful and thought provoking
Absolutely beautiful and thought provoking documentary with the beautiful and eerie backdrop of Europe. I follow Laura and Erik on YouTube and I truly value her ability to give light on both sides of the believer and skeptic in a respectful and thoughtful manner. Now I can't wait for her next project!
Mary Poppins Returns (2018)
Stand alone classic
This movie was an amazing visual and warm trip full of beautiful new songs. It dealt with some sad subjects which made me tear up during the first song but always reminds you to keep your head up.
The Dyatlov Pass Incident (2013)
Pleasantly surprised
I just finally watched the movie on Netflix after seeing the cover flashing by in my recommendations and I enjoyed it! The real back story to this movie sounded so crazy I looked it up and was surprised that the initial hike did take place and was as mysterious then as it is now. Then the movie did not keep to the predictable isolated horror flick like with the Descent or The Hills Has Eyes, it has an interesting science fiction twist that I liked because I was aware of that part of the movie at least Definitely check it out , nothing scary, but interesting story. So there is a 10 minimum to these reviews so I'm just going to take up some room here:)
