Summed it all up on the title. Nothing new here. Same crap, different characters. I don't mind having female lead characters because I still have some love for T3 which was not so popular among Terminator fans and yet it was way better than Dark Fate. This seems to be made just to please feminists This film just ignored the plot of Terminator series and throw high octane stuff at you as if it was directed by Michael Bay.

Based on true story but added a little drama to make an interesting plot. CGI and productions are top notch, A-grade Hollywood level. Acting is also real not too cheesy and heroic like American's films. It's way underrated for its quality.

Entourage: Nerd version

I've heard this series for a long time, thought it was just another kind of BigBang Theory. One day, after it just finished 4th season, I gave it a try. It started off first few episodes not so interesting to be honest. However, it's getting better over episodes and later I realized it's another version of Entourage. To which the main guy have cool projects to work on and whatever he does, the gang follows him. The projects usually have bright future ahead and potentially give them a fortune but some time later, unfortunate things happen and they always effed-up. Very much like Entourage's story line, just minus the sexy chicks walking around, and in a different industry and completely different styles of characters which means you will get entertained in the same way but in the "valley" environments and situations instead of the "hood". So basically, this is kind of 'sober' version of Entourage.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)

Well, if you are a Luc Besson's fan you have to watch it. This movie has the best visual of all his works combined. You will have a chance to fully experience this only from 4DX system or at least, ordinary 3D. It's kinda silly that many people criticized on the lead actor/actress who, personally, I'm not a fan either and also some kind of a weak plot, but to be fair, this is no worse than Star Wars or Star whatever. It's a comic based so it has to be easy to watch and entertaining. You will forget what you feel with the lead actor/actress and will be more enjoyed the film along the way. It's like Avartar + The fifth element with much more advance graphics and also with Besson's out-of-this-world fantasy, literally. I hope it goes well because I really want to watch its sequels in the future. Did I tell you that you should watch it in 4DX yet?

Trainwreck (2015)

The story revolved around a messed up girl who gets drunk, high and have sex a lot with different guys which would have been much more suitable if it was a hot actress instead of Spamela Hamderson. But since it's not, it kinda felt wrong for the whole movie. Even the sister, who is supposed to be a much more conservative person, looks hotter. No wonder Hamderson wrote the story herself just to fulfill her dream as a hot bangable girl. Not sure if her performance was so good or it was real her, because she was so annoying all the time. Not a single laugh I had, a few smiles at best. 3 stars I gave go for Bill Hader, John Cena and LeBron James who actually put a smile on my face.

Turbo Kid (2015)

This movie, for some reason, was rated 80%+ on that Rotten something site which fooled me into it. To sum up in few words. It's cheap, boring, predictable, disgusting, idiotic. It's like a Tarantino wannabe just finished a mediocre film school in Canada and then was able to lure the government people who has no experiences in film industry to give him some subsidized money to produce a low budget pointless movie just so that they can promote the location where the film was made. If some point in your life loved watching the Japanese-made Power Rangers or some kind of low budget candy super heroes thingy, this might be the movie for you. But you also have to like some disgusting things like blood and gore too, because this Tarantino wannabe made blood splashed like the waterspout in Yellowstone. Human's organs was cut and throwing around like it was supposed to be funny. Well, yeah, if you are a fan of Happy Tree Friends. The only thing that kept me watching this is the bimbo robot that made me slightly wondered that she might be hot in real life. Sometimes, there are movies you think they are not worth spending money to watch, this one was not even worth your time. I think some people rate this good just because they are nostalgic about the idea of 80's apocalypse, which was executed badly, or they just simply sadistically sick people.

Another Earth (2011)

Just a drama movie

On this IMDb site, they are categorised in 'Drama, Romance, Sci- Fi'...hmm let's find out.

It is absolutely a drama. Portrayed by the story that a girl killed another man's family by drunk driving. Few years later, she tried to make up for him by cleaning his house for free without the man knowing she was the one who destroyed his life in the first place. A good drama plot is it.

What about romance? They get closer as weeks gone by. They didn't talk so much but they fell in love with each other, I think (?) Eventually, they had sex. Isn't so romance is it. But if you count sexual intercourse as romance then it is.

Now the Sci-Fi part. There were 2 Earths, Earth1 and Earth2. Both have the same people. Seemingly like an alternate future in BTTF2 but this is in the same present time....hmmm

People on each Earth have never contacted each other before. Even if they are apart in the same distance from Earth to Moon, which we went there almost 50 years ago....hmmm

OK I'll stop here. Because the director didn't seem to care about scientific reality at all. Earth2 was there just for the gimmick only. It potentially could have been a good drama if they make it for what it is.

This is just another drama movie that have something quirky for the 'clickbait' title.

Enemy (2013)

Long story short: A psychotic man cheats his pregnant wife. Confusingly try to quit cheating. He can't.

But in the time that movie people can't come up with a good plot. They turn the simple story confusing. A lot. I watched this movie til the end and had a reaction like everyone else- W.T.F.

There are lots of explanation videos on Youtube. I watched some and got the idea that I summed up above. It's just that. It's about a psycho and imaginary spider friends.

Some people say it's deep, I say it's BS. I didn't see Adele too. The story is so simple but they twisted it to the point that you don't know anything anymore. The movie tones are gloomy and made Canada looks like Russia in Soviet Union era. It's not enjoyable to watch at all. I don't like stories that you have to do an 'interpretation'. You already do that to your wife more than enough in real life.

If you like the movie that you have to do a scientific psychological research after watched it, then this one might be your thing.

$50K and a Call Girl: A Love Story (2014)

A good movie... except it is NOT

It was supposed to be a diary film for his dying brother, so the shaky camera, poor lighting, uneven sound and low quality footages are constantly found along the movie. It is understandable but unnecessary because you always know it is not a real story. Trying to make it low quality make it annoying rather than convincing. The storyline is not much more than a crazy stupid road trip. They wanted to do something dumb before his brother die and burn the wedding money of the living brother. Hiring a call girl to the road trip does not make it more entertaining or touching at all. That seems to be just for a "click bait" title. I rated 3 just for the beautiful Lauren Aboulafia who looked like a great combination of Anna Kendrick and Tina Fey. Her acting when she was bored seems convincing. Or maybe it was really boring when she was on set. She should have made it much better in Hollywood.

Chef (2014)

Feel good movie for feel good people

Yes, it is simple, predictable, typical road trip movie. It is not a superhero movie even if there is RDJ in it. This movie 'Chef' is very realistic, some say boring, because it is very realistic. There are no totally bad or completely good guys here. The characters are believable. The movie portrayed the father and son who lives with his mother just getting the first time getting to know each other via road trip with the food truck. The food truck went to many interesting places that helped the ambient in the film feel very heartwarming. And yummy. The detail when you see the chef cook can tell you that Jon Favreau went to amount of practicing for his food making skill. Sofía Vergara is very beautiful. It could have had more romance scenes but it chose to focus on father and son relationship. And also focus on what you should believe in yourself and integrity. You know the end of the movie just minutes from the start but the journey along the story is very interesting and enjoyable to watch.

Flipped (I) (2010)

The only thing it needed to be changed is the name

This is a very simple, predictable, feel good movie. But there is something about it that made me love so much. The cast, the production, the story line, the ambient feel seem to work together so well. The girl looked weird and annoying in the first scenes but eventually she will grow on you as story going. I saw some comments about the choice for 50's-60's theme was unnecessary. I totally disagree. It is the major part of what made this movie so heartwarming. It would not have worked in present time line. No girls would feed her chicken in the backyard. The boy would not have been so nice to her even if he does not like her. In these days, if you annoyed a girl you just post something to embarrass her in social networks or just try to take advantage of her. So it is a solid reason to go back in much nicer time. I think the only thing it needed to be changed is the name. I missed this flick for years just because the name "Flipped" was not appealing enough to me.

Fresh Meat (2012)

good to watch if you are psycho

This is the most FREAKED up movie I have ever scene. Long story short. A gangster full of retards running away from cops into a house to hide. That house belongs to a family who enjoy eating human. Yes, human. Cannibalism. The daughter of this family just came back from dorm so she doesn't know that her family turned into cannibals. There are situations that supposed to be funny by these freaked up people. The retard gangster messed up with one another. The psycho family eventually killed some of the retards. The daughter falls in love with the bad girl who leads the retards. There are scenes that psycho family cut people's heads and other organs. Then later, the father kills the daughter's boyfriend who really love her. Cuts his freaking head right away. Lovely right? And no, that's not freaked up enough. The father tries to kill their own children, and then his wife. The daughter fights with her father and finally she burns his father alive. In the end the daughter kissed with the bad girl and might end up with her. I watched Tarantino movies. It's okay that lots of his scenes full of freaked up shite like cutting heads and bloods all over the places. It's gross but understandable because there are stories and some situations turned bad. But in this movie, it has the MAIN PLOT that supposed to be funny by these disgusting situations. I don't know why people find this entertaining by this shite at all. I regret that I happened to watch this via cable so I didn't realize about it in the first place. If you like this movie I suggest you, get an appointment with a psychiatrist right away.

I Give It a Year (2013)

Disappointing plot

I chose to watch this movie because I love Rose Byrne and I like romantic comedy. The story started rather poor by a couple who don't really know each other well enough are getting married. The wedding scene contains cliché gags like an annoying best man and so on. This best man will keep coming up on several scenes later and was played really well to the point that I actually get so annoyed by him. It was supposed to be funny, I know but there is a line between annoyingly funny and actually annoying. Then we have a married couple who are not get along really well and they get other people came into their lives and getting very attracted. They know this wouldn't make their married life work out so they try to stop distracting from other people. There are awkwardness through out the film. Some funny some not. The couple try to fix their marriage and try to learn each other better. And then they quit. THEY QUIT. That is what so annoying about this film. They agree to divorce and get hook up with people they fall in love. I don't know if it was supposed to be a black comedy but that wasn't what I like to learn from a movie. It should be about two imperfect people getting married and try to learn each other better every single day. There are some point in life that you get bored/mad/annoyed about your spouse but then you try to fix that and make it work. Not just quitting and getting divorce and go after someone you are so in love superficially. Real adult life is not a fairy tale nor this movie. I don't like quitters and I don't like that this film embrace that. I know, it's a comedy but there are ways to make it funny without putting negativity into it.

Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)

Surprisingly much better than recent Bond films

Everything you want to see in old Bond's films you can see here. The class, the gentlemen, the wardrobes, the production sets are absolutely awesome. You can feel the density of Britishness in this film. Spy toys are much more convincing than Bond's but the film based on a comic book so there are some computer graphics that made it a bit more cartoon like. Fight scenes, which I loved most, combined with creative camera angles and right soundtracks made it very interesting to watch again and again. Sure, you can guess the plot as it's Bond style film but who cares, it's supposed to be easy to watch anyway. And man!, Colin Firth can FIGHT WITH STYLE.

After Earth (2013)

Looks good but actually lousy

Judged from the trailer it seemed to be an interesting movie but after watching the whole thing I was so wrong. For a Sci-fi fan like me, it is very disappointing. It has a very poor story line to begin with. It has no logical sense in so many things for the world after 1,000 years from now. You have to know that thousands of years is not that much long in the time frame if you look back at Romans, Egyptians or Chinese.

The earth changed unbelievably drastically by having polluted air even if there are lots of plants and tons of wild animals. How is that even possible? Worse, it gets cold to sub zero at night in the deep tropical forest like that. Amazing! You might argue that things evolved over time but in reality these situations need millions of years to change that much.

And here are some other flaws that can't be ignored. Obviously, now we have some of rescue robots in prototype but they won't have in the next 10 centuries. They have drones but can't do any better than flying cams. Moreover they still have only one way to contact the mother ship in the outer space by raising the "radio" up high in the sky like we did with old Motorolas in the '80s. The father could receive the signal from his son crystal clear and even see his live feed cam but yet his son couldn't even listen to him. They have got to be special one-way radio signal in the future! how about that! Not to mention how his son can survive without eating for few days. Why didn't he light the fire to get through the night. Why didn't they have guns in the future.

There are too many flaws that I can type here but you got the point.

I rate it 3 just only for CGI and artworks section which are in the top notch and being the only great things in this movie.

Elysium (I) (2013)

The plot is not worth it

As a Sci-fi fan, I was anticipating this movie as you are but it was just disappointing.

First of all, it lacks some logical reasons on the plot itself which I don't want to spoil but you will be thinking the same when you watched it. It is the biggest problem of this film as it is a futuristic sci-fi, it should be able to convince you much more nicely.

In the detail, there are loopholes in some scenes that make you think why are they doing this? Why don't they have this? Why, Why, Why popped up in your head all the time. Annoying doesn't it?

Looking at the scale of the production will also make you think how did they pick a weak plot like this in the first place. Did they really put an effort on the plot? It doesn't deserve to be in a big film at all.

However, The acting of the cast is superb. It really helped the film much more convincing. The CGI is also top notch, also helped the atmosphere of the future scene.

Overall, very disappointing. I can't help but comparing this film to Oblivion which is much more better in every way. I would give it 7/10 if this film was a B-grade VHS in the 90's.

Oblivion (I) (2013)

Underrated Sci-fi

Before I watched this film, I didn't know what is it about or read any synopsis. I bought it just from the poster. The opening is very convincing. The CG, the set, outfits, vehicles really help building up the atmosphere of the future. The story line is refreshingly new. You don't know what will be going on next and it keeps you curious about it. The action scene happens occasionally along the movie in the right amount of time. The drama scene, however, is a little too much for this kind of Sci-fi. Tom Cruise nailed it as usual, the role suits him well. The whole plot is a typical American action style, nothing to expect here. Anyway, The best thing in this movie is the graphics, both computer or non- computer graphics are mesmerizingly stunning. Everything is beautifully designed. It's one of the best as far as I have seen in Scifi category. I give it 9 out of 10 just a little bit mistakes here and there but overall, highest score from me.

White House Down (2013)

A typical B-list action movie

The story line is not too far from Under Siege, Rambo and Die Hard. It just happened at The White House and Tatum's acting was not very memorable. There are some flaws on the plot that is going to make you annoyed from time to time. The cast is somehow not very charming and believable. Baddies are too stupid even if they are highly experienced veterans which will make you even more annoyed. There are few gags along the way but not so funny. It is also too long for this kind of mundane plot.

It's a typical B-grade plot with an A-grade CG. It can give you some entertainment but don't expect too much. I give it 5 just for the effort of the white house set and the realistic computer graphics that really deserved to be in a better film.

Dirty Girl (2010)

Just don't waste your time

Long story short, It's a story about a fat gay guy and a slutty with no tits and no ass (actually the fat gay guy's are bigger).They are having trouble with their own families. Both of them carrying around a bag of flour which have facial expressions from time to time (It's supposed to be funny but NO). As family's problem built up, the slutty girl is then trying to find her own biological father and runaway from the house. The fat gay guy came out of closet and his father does not like that so he is running away with her. The road trip begins and there are some troubles along the way (It's supposed to be funny but NO). In the end, it's supposed to be sentimental or something but I did not feel into it at all. I don't know what genre this movie supposed to be in. It's not funny (I had no single laugh). It's not drama. It's not romance. It's not a family flick as well. Most of actings are lousy even if there are some familiar faces. The roles somehow don't suit with some of the actors and actresses. The atmosphere is also weird. Story line is boring. Directing is bad. I just tried to watch it until the end to see if there was any interesting thing came up but it wasn't. I don't know why it has rather good reviews on IMDb despite the fact that, this is one of the worst movies I have watched lately. For your own sake,don't waste your time, go watch something else.
