The Rehearsal: Apocalypto (2022)
Season 1, Episode 5

So you think you can tell reality from acting? Think again
13 August 2022
At what point does the acting starts and it's all just a show? And at what point does Nathan and those around him bring out their true selves? For me this show is day-time Inception.. on steroids! And the one who is confused whether this is real or fake is ultimately you, dear watcher.

So many layers to this beautiful slice of life that, apparently, is as uncontrollable as life itself.

No words to describe it!!
6 August 2022
This is the most creative, unique, and original show I have watched in many years.. Maybe ever! I loved Nathan For You (NFY) and I knew this show would be good as well. However, while NFY is a comedy show in essence, The Rehearsal is mostly a social experience that is so special and authentic.

I will not spoil anything, but I will comment on one scene in Episode 4. When Adam is taken by the ambulance after overdosing, the paramedics are listing his current symptoms, vital signs, and possible drugs he is on, and being a physician I was impressed by the accuracy and amount of work that went into a 5-second scene. This is a simple example of the attention to details and the amount of effort put into this amazing show.

Impractical Jokers: Rob Riggle (2022)
Season 9, Episode 21
8/10
Surely it is not as good as before, but better than the last three episodes
1 July 2022
Joe's gone, and the show will never be back to the great laughing-out-loud comedy genius it once was. That void will never be filled and we just have to live with it

That being said, this episode is clearly better than the last three. It shows the Jokers going back to the roots, where they tell the one doing the bit what to do and say, as opposed to what they were doing recently where a Joker would just go for his bit and act out of his own accord

Okay, the punishment is still lame and boring, and the guest of the episode is not helping but actually ruining the fun. Still, I think this episode is a good one, and I hope that they improve and bump up their performance from here on out.

Raising Hope: Jimmy's Fake Girlfriend (2012)
Season 2, Episode 14
9/10
I found no reviews here and decided to write one!

I got into this show a few weeks back after watching the trailer and sensing that it might be just right for me. However, it apparently has a small fan base, if any, but it deserves so much more recognition!

The characters are ALL loveable, especially Burt and Virginia, and the chemistry between these two is always fun to watch. Maw Maw is hilarious most of the time, and Jimmy is likeable as well, although less talented than the aforementioned characters. Sabrina, Barney, and Frank are also fun to watch. The show in general is so light-hearted and enjoyable, and you cannot help but getting more and more invested in its straightforward yet engaging story

And now we come to this episode. It is simple in its presentation and plot, a little cheesy, and, heck, nothing if not expected sooner or later (This was aired on Valentine day so..). That being said, it was one of the sweetest and most satisfying episodes of the show, and I was really rooting for Jimmy all the way.

A bit overrated?
1 July 2021
Hear me out please.

I liked this show, admired its heart and feel-good attitude, and truly appreciated the performance of most actors (especially Jason Sudeikis).

However, this show is, for the lack of a better word, extremely childish when it comes to to soccer and to basic human relationships as well. The show is not only unrealistic and naive, it is basically happens in a universe completely unlike our own, where a guy who knows nothing about soccer is coaching in the premiere league out of the box, and characters are ridiculously caring and kind they might as well be a species totally different from humans.

That being said, the jokes are often very funny, and the final episode of season 1 showed some unexpected events and developments, and I just might stay in for a second season.

What this show should have, and could have been
3 May 2021
In short, what the creators should have done is:

1. Dial it down with all the racism. There's hardly a scene where it is not black this and white that.

2. Less politics would have been most welcome 3. It would have truly worked much better as a two-hour-and-a-half movie instead of just filler scenes.

Unfortunately, it never lived up to its potential. Fingers crossed that they won't repeat these mistakes again.

The Outsider: Must/Can't (2020)
Season 1, Episode 10

Anticlimactic ending, what a waste
9 March 2020
I have watched this show since episode 1 and I got hooked eversince. I waited eagerly for each new episode, and the show maintained a good pace and an interesting plot till the ninth episode, which was a great cliffhanger. I really wanted the finale to be good, I truly did. However, it was not. I am not gonna spoil anything, but the whole show was destroyed due to this anticlimactic run-of-the-mill ending. I believe that the reason behind this ending is purely for profits sake. HBO saw that the ratings for this show were much higher than excpected and decided to make a second season instead of wrapping up the whole story in one single season like they originally planned. That's why I believe that the post-credits scene (which was a cheap Hollywood-inspired this-is-not-over-yet kinda of ending) was shot at a later date than the rest of the show.

Damn you HBO, you could have given the world another Chernobyl, but instead you gave us another GOT.

Messiah (2020)

Take a leap of faith and watch this show!
31 January 2020
First of all, I have to say I am an Arabic native speaker and a Musilm. I live in Syria, the war torn country that is the stage for the first episode of this show.

I got into this show with no idea about it other than its religious theme, and it was a great surprise to me to watch how the plot unfolded.

It is obvious that the show was shot in Iraq and Jordan, so that made it a little bit less convincing for me. Nevertheless, the Arabic language spoken here is the best I've seen in years. The setting and screenplay are truely remarkable, and the actors did a great job, especially Avi and "The Messiah". The show writers did their homework and depicted the various cultures the show involved very skillfully.

I can understand that people might rate this a 10 or a 0, so if you are confused weither to watch it or not you can begin with the first episode and decide from there.

What I really loved about this show is the mystery and uncertainty it puts the viewer in. It gives you all the facts and lets you decide for yourself whether "The Savior" is a hoax or the real deal, without giving you a clear answer.

On the other hand, I guess the whole season could have been packed into a 2-hour movie without missing any of the big events. The show feels slow and stretched out at times and the plot moves very slowly in a few episodes.

Take a leap of faith and watch this show, it might exceed your expectations!

Sin City (2005)

Best comical movie ever!!!
4 November 2013
Three characters with three different stories in one corrupted city , Sin City. First of all , one of the most unique movies of all times , the direction , the colors , the dark comical style , the storytelling , and the separate credits. The fighting and shooting scenes are so awesome , makes u feel like you are reading a comic , with a great cast and an amazing care for every little detail. The ending was so open , and lots of things were unexplained and left for the viewers imaginations. Just be careful , cuz even if it is comical , it is not for every one , it actually contains a lot of violence and nudity , so don't watch it with your kids. I loved this movie , i'll give it 8.4/10
