The U Movie (2010)
Transcendental Film
A real pleasure and a great motivational piece that inspires and invigorates. Alex has made a film worth showing to multiple generations of youth who face severe challenges in an increasingly hyper active world. With so many things to do in this world it is shocking to see that so few people actually do what they want. Alex provides an excellent example of a young man finding his place in the world whilst still battling against the molds that would shape him. As a young student from first world Canada, Alex embarks on a journey across the globe with his best friend Tom. What begins as a triumphant journey is marked with ups and downs as the lad are exposed to the beauty and reality of the wider world. School, society and freedom are issues that are explored in the film as the travelers learn about themselves and other people who have taken the leap to follow their dreams. The U-Movie provides a global perspective on an age old question - "What is life?" The U-movie invites you to begin answering this question for yourself.
