I have just seen Hard Candy at the Sundance Film Festival which screened in the 'Midnight' section of the festival.
I would have to say from the outset that this film is definitely worth a 'view' but please leave your brain in the 'don't start asking questions about the believability of the actual story' mode. The film maker requires the audience to believe a whole lot of implausible actions by the lead character, Hayley. These implausibilities drags the film down from being a great film to good film. Simply the character of Hayley, could not physically or mentally do what see does in this film.
The performance by Ellen Page (Hayley), 14 year old actress, is an incredible performance and make is this film worth a look, plus the fact that this film was projected off HD Projection and looked incredible.
