could be better

Warning: Spoilers
This movie is OK. I'd have to say that compared to the Barbie series of movies it is sadly lacking in substance and quality of animation. The main problem is that all the girls are the same. It doesn't let the viewer get close to the characters. It also has pretty teen centered themes to it. Like being dumped and partying and so on. So if you have young children I would not recommend this. This is because My Scene is mostly a spin off of the Bratz line, and like the Bratz line the characters are superficial teens that walk around in skimpy clothing. I personally don't want to instill those values into a young girl until she's older, but you can make up you're own mind. Still for the tweens it is quite bearable.

A wonderful job

I would have to say that in general Barbie Movies have impressed me. I have a 5 year old Barbie fanatic niece and she watches them all the time so needless to say I have seen quite a lot of Barbie these holidays, but I am not sick of them.

This film, visually, has a lot to offer, especially the backgrounds, and the animation of the characters has improved with each new movie. One thing I noticed in particular was a vast improvement in the animation of Barbie's hair in this film. It has a lovely range of excerpts from classical music and I think that this is great, as it exposes a new generation to the classics. This film is well worth ago, especially if you have young relievers. They will be entertained for hours!

overall impressive

Warning: Spoilers
I found this film to be visually stunning and it was obvious the a lot of research had gone into the locations and animal movements used in this film.

I was however disappointed that two of the key characters, who were supposed to be Australian, had American accents. It really spoiled the film for me. Considering the fact that the were both supposed to be Australian this really bugged me throughout the duration of the film. Aside from this, the accents of the supporting cast were excellent.

Although it had a few voice issues, this film is very impressive overall. It is well paced, and has a lovely message behind it, "that even if you are small, you can make a difference for the better," and I thoroughly recommend giving it a go, especially younger viewers.
