Naked Science: Roman Technology Investigated (2006)
"Roman technology" with no mention of Ancient Greece
This documentary borders on propaganda with its inability to put any "Roman technology" into context and explain how and who actually developed or created the various things all attributed to Rome.
They fail to define what "Roman" even means and encompasses. Mentioning roman medicine or artillery without mentioning Ancient Greece is truly pathetic.
Rome absorbed from the cultures it conquered and used everything useful which was already in place. In general the Roman Empire did things on a grander scale than the cultures before it. That was their main contribution to technology (scale). In general did not invent or "pioneer" technologies.
This documentary creates a false sense of achievement for Rome, which can then be associated with today's economic world leaders - Western Europe. Another case of the victors writing history.
