I tried to watch this show because I asked people to recommend me something close to the expanse series. That series was a marvel, probably the best sci fi of the last two decades.

I came in with high hopes, and was instantly put off by the shakey camera.

That kind of direction kind of suited in a show like the office, but not in something serious like battle star galactica.

I wanted to watch a gripping sci fi political drama show, but instead got a headache and had to shut off somewhere in the middle of the first episode.

The direction feels cheap, the color grading is awful, and the characters are too stiff. A solid 2/10 from me.

I must say I almost never rate something 10/10, nothing can ever be perfect but this show really came close.

It has everything, political drama, crime thriller, great sci fi grounded in reality, human element, and the actors are great.

It's not a sci-fi show where the characters are just wiggling about in their seats during a battle sequence in space, you can feel the forces as the ships turns and accelerates.

Characters have backstory, motives that can be explained, no one is black and white in their motive. Female characters are fantastically written and are not just "strong female" for the sake of it. They have their flaws, and strength just like any other human.

This show is probably going to be the best sci-fi show to come out in the next decade or so.

I started watching this because I just wanted to watch something while working, something that plays in the background, but soon realized it was not just an action series.

The story is gripping, the lead actor absolutely kills the performance, and the pacing is amazing.

And when you watch a show like this you expect is to end one way or the other, I am glad to say that the ending caught me off guard, it was really good story telling.

The wife's character is annoying, because I could not relate to her in any way whatsoever.

In conclusion, this is a fantastic show, and you should consider watching it!
