A different take on the original and we all escaped around the world on a Sunday with the great David Tennant and a varied and talented cast. Touched on the things that should matter. Love,forgiveness,honour and tolerance. Plus the music was great. . Next adventure please.

i loved this show.I watched relentlessly. but when i tell others of my generation they don't remember it because it was on itv and not all in Ireland had the channel it was so witty and appealed to all ages. he was a genius that wrote with all his knowledge and life experiences which contained tragedy. but his gift to write characters is at its best. he treated his audience cleverly and therefore the humour is timeless. he was a goon and i loved his charactrrs the most but only discovered which ones he did as i grew up .. but with the puppets and colourful little sets plus the historical facts it was a show that should of been a wonderful world wide export.

enjoyable super hero family movie

The kids and I watch this DVD regularly. And we always enjoy the music and the feel good fun... It is a kids movie and as such it should be treated with some levity and give it a break.. The cgi etc is fine and does it job.. And it's funny in spots..and all the characters are well cast, Tim Allen is always watchable and while I don't remember this in the cinema, it is better then a lot of the stuff I have been dragged to over the years. So if you're looking for a movie to watch with the kids they will enjoy it, the sets are fun.. While the story is silly at times it still feels like it could be made into a series or have come from a series.
