Fun Show with Great Characters
11 March 2024
This is a really fun show and doesn't disappoint through the first two seasons. Five, played by Aidan Gallagher (sp?) is amazing and looking forward to seeing him in other projects. Everyone does a stand-up job and the writing thus far has been really good. I say that because I've read there may be a drop-off in season 3 but I'll give it a go soon.

The science is plausible enough and they don't resort to stupid actions by any of the characters to push the plot forward (a big pet peeve of mine in other shows). I just hope it didn't peak already as I'd love to continue watching to see where this all goes.

Really Good
7 February 2024
This is actually really good. I was skeptical at first but knew Seth would be good as Ted so figured I'd give it a try. What has really gotten me hooked is how good the rest of the cast is. The guy playing John is excellent and the parents and sister definitely hold their own and don't take away from the comedy. They are funny in their own right.

If you like Seth's humor then this is something to be watched and as good as anything else he has out there. Seth seems to have a really good eye for his supporting cast in anything he does and this doesn't disappoint.

Highly recommend, especially if you are already a Ted fan.

Wow, What a Show
19 August 2022
I can't believe I didn't start watching this sooner but also kind of happy I was able to binge watch all 3 seasons up until now. I skipped over this because I thought it was just an alternative history with a focus on female astronauts. Not that there is anything wrong with that but I mistakenly thought it would be kind of one dimensional. It's so much more than that and I should have known it would be great with Joel Kinnaman in it and the rest of the cast is outstanding.

I really like the choices they've made for the alternate history and it does make sense to think that technology would advance quicker if we had kept our focus on space exploration. Now I can't wait for season 4.

Yeah, It's Bad
15 July 2022
I always check reviews before watching something but there were none when I started this series. I slogged through three episodes barely able to stay focused and kept thinking maybe I was missing something. It just seemed to kind of jump all over the place and I didn't feel like there was any kind of continuity to the pace(?). Not sure if that's the best way to describe it but it's the only thing that comes to mind. As I write this, I'm realizing I don't even remember much about what was taking place in those three episodes but I know I have no desire to watch anymore.

This Show is Good
11 June 2022
It's unfortunate it's getting negative rating bombed because this show is actually pretty good. I was blown away by the cinematography. The lead is excellent in her role and everyone played their part well.

If you discount the 1 ratings to about double the 2s this show becomes an 8.1 which is way more realistic.

Much Better

After the last episode I was tempted to quit watching but happy I decided to continue. Show is back on track and hopeful the other subplot is done - I don't know because I couldn't even finish the episode. Yeah, it was that bad.

It's been a number of years since I last played Halo and I'm happy they are showing the inner workings of the Halo universe.

Boring
30 April 2022
I've watched six episodes hoping this is going somewhere but I think I'm giving up on it. I can't actually see what's going on during most of the scenes due to it being shot in the dark - the lighting in this show is terrible. What a waste of talented cast members.

It's Good

Two episodes in and so far, so good. I started playing Halo when it came out 20 years ago so I'm familiar with the lore. Casting is excellent, especially Schreiber in the lead role. Looking forward to more episodes.

Just Average
15 May 2021
Lock Stock and Snatch are two of my favorite movies but this movie just seemed to drag on. The typical Guy Ritchie quick witted dialogue didn't really go over that well with all the American accents - it seemed like they tried a few runs in the beginning but that was it. It was ok but I guess I just had much higher expectations. The story or plot just didn't really interest me but the performances were all fine.

Not Bad
16 January 2021
I thought it was pretty good so not sure why the low ratings. I thought Damson Idris did an excellent job - had to look him up and it figures he is British trained. Anyway, glad I went ahead and watched this even after I saw the low score - sometimes I let that dissuade me and I would have missed a pretty good movie in this case.

Warning: Spoilers
I came across this by accident and the premise sounded interesting. I'd never heard of the books I guess it's based on so all new for me.

The first few episodes drew me in but the next few just went downhill. I gave the lead character the benefit of the doubt the first few episodes but now it's to the point it's grating on me - take a bath and wash your hair or get a proper haircut. Maybe even change your clothes. We get it, you're supposed to be a rebel. She also looks to be in her early to mid 30s playing an eighteen year old so maybe the look is to try to compensate for that?

The show starts off with a bang with two people having sex so I'm guessing that was done intentionally to let us know this wasn't CW. However, you still have to wade through some of the teen drama midway through.

The scrabble girl, who seems pretty street smart to me runs on to open pavement to try to outrun a vehicle when she could have easily dodged behind any parked car next to her. That's just lazy writing.

Anyway, not trying to knock the lead actress but I just think she was really miscast for this role.

Couldn't Get Through 2 Episodes
8 November 2019
I know others have mentioned this already but I'll just repeat it to justify my low score. I'm used to suspending belief when watching sci-fi but this just had too much. If the fact that everyone is blind the primary focus of the show then at least give that more thought. There are so many things that just don't make sense like the decorative ornaments they wear (and a lot others already listed). It just seemed too gimmicky and the writers didn't completely think it through.

Great Show
31 October 2019
I stumbled across this and so glad I did. The setting reminds me of Yharnam straight out of the game, Bloodborne by From Software. Really good story with good dialogue and outstanding performances by the entire cast. Can't wait for season 2.
