The Hardy Bucks Movie (2013)
Absolutely brilliant
Went to the world premiere of this movie as part of the Jameson Dubln International Film Fest last night and I have never laughed so much in my life.
Despite never being a massive fan of the you tube show or then the TV show I thought this movie was one of the funniest things I have seen in a long long time. It tells the tale of the boys trip to Poland for Euro 2012 and inevitably they get into some bother in "the Dam" along the way. The scenes in Poznan brought back some beautiful memories of the Euros.
Go see this even if not a fan of TV show as it is a piece of comedy gold and possibly the most Irish movie ever made!
Green Street (2005)
Awful - just plain awful
not funny not sad not interesting not entertaining AWFUL Its not a comedy so there must be a message right ? WRONG At one point its violence = good then violence = bad then friend =good then friend = bad then friend = good again.
And the head west ham hooligan's accent was just crap and he was about as scary as Frodo. Oh wait there was one message from the movie - journalists = bad!
I paid to see this and will never ever ever forgive myself. You want to see a hooligan movie then watch THE FOOTBALL FACTORY which is a masterpiece. The movie has not one redeeming characteristic not one - Utter utter utter rubbish
I feel like i haven't been able to explain adequately the crapness of this piece of crap
Garden State (2004)
Excellent movie
I must say i absolutely loved this movie. I'm a 21 year old who having just finished college have moved back home. The idea of not having a home to go to (in an emotional sense obviously) is probably my greatest fear and Braff captures perfectly the feeling of never being home. I also have a friend who is on medication similar to that which the Large is on and i believe Zach Braff perfectly captured the effect of such drugs.
as well as being very very funny the movie really struck a chord with me - this is THE movie for the generation of people leaving college with a world of opportunity and not a clue what to do next.
