I'm a big fan of this director and other filmmakers involved, and most of their other films. This... everything about it was so over the top, and mixed loud, and obnoxious, and annoying. I love Defoe, even when he is over the top himself, but he was even too much in this film. Everything from people biting food, to dogs barking, to simple conversations, to the sound of a sword being unsheathed, was so obnoxiously over the top, over produced, and over acted. Every other scene had someone screaming obnoxiously and unnecessarily. It all made the film dumbed down and boring. Even this post about how over the top everything was, is in fact over the top itself.

"Oh the left wing media hates this movie 'cause it's conservative!" Lol! No. It's a bad movie with a weak plot, bad writing, with horrible jokes, less than average acting, and a completely less than average production.
Conservatives love projecting everything. They are the ones hyping this movie and rating it well just because it's a "conservative" movie. They're giving it 9's and 10's. Really? You rate this up there with The Godfather? 🤣

I love baseball. Just because a movie has baseball in it, doesn't make it good. Same with Christian movies. Just because Jesus is in it somewhere, doesn't make it good.
The acting was horrible, production was sadly, poor and the directing was non-existent.
