Yaaran Diyan Poun Baaran (2023)
Ridiculous Film
I don't understand how anyone could would give this film 10 stars!!
Aside from the veteran actors (Jaswinder Bhalla, Shavinder Mahal, Upasna Singh and Harby Sangha) everyone gives a terrible performance.
Nanak Singh is a terrible actor.
The girls in the film weren't much better.
The love triangle was taken from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai..from the male lead ignoring his best friend to go with the new girl to the reading of Romeo and Juliet in English class.
The other love triangle between Jaswinder Bhalla, Upasna Singh and Shavinder Mahal does little to make up for the poor acting and nonsensical plot.

Utter Nonsense
I'm no stranger to the lack of nonsense in Bollywood but this is on another level.
From John Abraham being stronger than Captain America, i.e pulling 2 helicopters tethered together, to Salman Khan turning up on a train in the middle of nowhere after a trip to the coffee shop.
I understand that maybe Bollywood is trying to be current and refreshing with it's cringey dialogue and nonsensical scenes but it's not working.
Deepika Padukone doesn't bring anything to the film other than to act as eye candy, with pointless action sequences.
Also, the CGI is absolutely shocking and around 10-12 years outdated.
Zero (2018)
Shahrukh doing what he does best (No Major Spoilers)
At its core this is a classic Shahrukh Khan romance flick.
Shahrukh Khan plays Bauaa Singh a care free dwarf who is slightly bitter about his height, infatuated with Katrina Kaifs Babita Kumari, a bollywood starlet, and then gets lumbered with Anushka Sharmas disabled Aafia.
Zero is very different from your conventional love stories and brings a new dimension to bollywood.
I think it was a job well done with great performances from Shahrukh and Anushka as well as a fantastic score.
The cameos from the other bollywood stars was probably the most pointless bit of the film.
2.0 (2018)
What A Load of Rubbish.
This was a total waste of time.
Though based on what may be a serious issue this film was totally pointless.
Firstly, I don't know understand why this movie is getting so many positive reviews as it is not worth the film it's printed on.
Secondly this movie is so chockablock with special effects that it may as well be an animated movie.
There is no proper story and the action is laughable.
Rajnikanth is better of quitting films.
The fact that Akshay Kumar is in this movie does little to comfort viewers as he is hardly in the film, firstly appearing only just before the interval.
Thugs of Hindostan (2018)
Very Surprising
So..after 2 weeks of reading negative reviews and umming and aahing whether or not to go watch this film I eventually decided to take the plunge and see why this film was as bad as everyone said.
I'm not one to watch trailers so I had no idea what I was expecting.
The film started with Ronit Roy, an actor who I quite like, whose performance was great.
I didn't make my mind up on just that scene. I waited until the intermission to go over what I had seen and realise that I'm actually enjoying this film.
The second half was as good and overall a great film. So much so that I'm considering watching it again.
Plus point is that Katrina Kaif is hardly in it and there is some really cool action in the film.
So, I didn't see why this film was slated so badly, though the music was nothing to write home about the background score as well as the film in general were quite good.
Singh Saab the Great (2013)
Sunny Deol Doing What He Does Best
In recent years we have seen Sunny Deol in films which haven't been suited for his acting. In the last 5 years he has made films like Fox, Right Yaa Wrong, Yamla Pagla Deewana and Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, and in my opinion the only one really worth watching was YPD, but it wasn't a role in which Sunny Deol excels in. In Singh Saab, we see Sunny Deol in a role reminiscent of his 90's roles. It's full of Sunny Deol style roaring and shouting on top of what I call Sunny Deol action (People flying away with one punch, ripping out posts from the ground) which has in recent years been adapted by all the other actors but we now see Sunny Deol showing them how it's done. A return to real action for Sunny Deol.
With a good storyline and great acting this is must see, not just for Sunny Deol fans but also regular cinema goers.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012)
Disappointed
Shahrukh Khan, Yash Chopra, YRF anf AR Rahman. These names all make a recipe for a fantastic film. But in this case it doesn't work so well. Indeed, the soundtrack for this film is phenomenal, with at least 4 superhit songs and 2 mediocre, catchy songs in the form of Ishq Shava and Jiya re. But the film on the other hand is disappointing, especially for a Shahrukh Khan film. To be fair to Shahrukh Khan, his performance is as good as it's ever been but he was let down by the ever disappointing Katrina Kaif, who has yet to deliver a performance worth the film it's recorded on. The love story between Katrina Kaif and Shahrukh Khan leaves a lot to be desired and would have been so much more powerful were it with a stronger actor such as Rani Mukherjee, Kajol or even Sonakshi Sinha. Anushke Sharma provides the comic side to the second half and does quite well but doesn't seem to make the film raise in standards, though the second half is better than the first
Kai po che! (2013)
Waste of Time
Unimpressed. This was a very poor attempt by three supposed newcomers to make their mark on Bollywood. The younger audience was very impressed by the story and acting in this film but older viewers and hardcore Bollywood fans were left wanting more. With a poor story line and very dull acting this was a massive waste of time. just an attempt by the film makers to make a film akin to 3 idiots, which was a massive hit and popular with both Hindi speaking audience and non Hindi speaking audience. The music was poor with no show stopping songs at all. 2 mediocre songs. Definitely would not recommend this to anyone. Waste of Time and money.
Agneepath (2012)
Great Film
I watched this film 4 times in the first 2 weeks of it being released and was absolutely amazed each time. Then I was quick to snap it up on DVD. Sanjay Dutt proves to be as amazing as ever in his villainous role and Hrithik Roshan, once again, shows us how good an actor he is, especially because the character of Vijay Chauhan is a contrast to the characters he normally plays. Priyanka Chopra has an equally fantastic role, though it was a slightly diminished role compared to the role she would normally have.
The soundtrack is equally amazing with great songs, in specific Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin and O Saiyyan.
Definitely best film of 2012 and I'm still waiting to see one as good.
