Westworld: Que Será, Será (2022)
Utter nonsense
I Really liked season 1.....and LOVED most of season 2.....HATED season 3....but still wanted to give this season a shot....season 4 was a tad better than 3....but THIS? The finale? It's worse than the last episode of Game Of Thrones.....it's poorly written, the acting is wooden.... Jesse Pinkman can't stop whispering like he's Batman.... It's like it was written by a senile 10 year old......oh.....and yeah, I love Radiohead as much as the next guy, but you've gone to that well too many times......
The Orville: Shadow Realms (2022)
Sorry, Seth
I liked the first season of The Orville.....I liked the idea of mixing TNG Star Trek with a little Family Guy humor. It started a bit wobbly....more humor than Sci-Fi....but I stayed with it. Then in season 2 the writing improved, the balance was a more natural fit.... Seth brought in some TNG and Voyager writers, directors and actors....and it worked.....then the season ended....and it's announced the show is moving to Hulu. Fine.....then Covid came....season 3 was delayed. Then delayed again.......ok.....so what? There's an audience for this. Seth came up with something unique. At the time season 2 aired there was very little to no Star Trek airing. The Orville was a breath of fresh air to old Star Trek fans like myself.
So what happened?
Well.....actual Star Trek shows started popping up....flooding the market.....but they were mostly crap aimed at a younger audience and they were missing that old-school TNG feel......
Now the Orville comes back.
And I am disappointed......the humor is pretty much gone....
And guess what.....STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS took the formula Seth created and did it better.....
Seth, You waited too long....and judging from these first 2 episodes you're taking yourself too seriously
I'll give the next episode a shot....but so far I'm not feeling it.
Atlanta: The Big Payback (2022)
Is it me?
I like what Donald Glover is doing this season.....
He has a very unique voice and sometimes you just gotta go with the unusual twists and turns....
I get what he's saying.....
Now.....Is it me or does E bear a striking resemblance to mid-80's Phil Collins?
Star Trek: Mirror, Mirror (1967)
Explains everything
Watching this for the 847th time I think I know why 2020 is such a nightmare. Sometime in mid-March we all woke up and found ourselves in the mirror universe. If this is not the case I think if it were possible I'd take my chances there....Can't be any worse
Hitsville: The Making of Motown (2019)
Who Doesn't Love These Songs?
I mean...seriously...
I thought I was fairly familiar with most of thees songs....but the mark of a great documentary is hearing something familiar in a new and different way....
I mean....the way they break down the arrangement of The Temptation's " My Girl" is a revelation....hearing those classical music arrangements...they were there the whole time and I never noticed it.....that's what this film does.....as Bill Hader's Stephane character would say..." It Has Everything"
My only beef...and it's a small one...is that the story ends mid-70's....so they don't even touch disco....or losing the Jacksons....no mention of the second wave of Motown in the mid-80's ....but then this would have to have been a mini-series...

The Orville: The Road Not Taken (2019)
Finally
For a season that has had it's ups and downs, this was a spectacular finale. Guess they saved the budget they had for the season to be used in this last ep. this one steals not from Star Trek , like most of the episodes, but from Star Wars.....but it does it well. I can only hope this show get's a 3rd season, but If it doesn't this was a hell of a way to go
