Perfect Match (2023)
Trashy Show, Entertaining, but the Finale Voting System is Poor
The show doesn't truly depict what all if takes to be in a real relationship. So in that regard, I do not take it seriously as such and I feel like viewers who watch shouldn't either. It is a "fun and games" type of experience. Most of the cast from season 1 and season 2 are people who are known to get around, which I feel like is more of the premise of the show. "Let's see who can stick together the longest of all the cast who mostly gets around." It's like a millennial surface based survivor show based around coupling, but not true love of course. So I recommend not taking this seriously for that.
The issue that I have is with regards to season 2. Season 1's cast was slightly older and thus more mature, however, season 2's cast was much less mature overall. There were things done behind the scenes that caused the final vote to be one that wasn't deserved and a total surprise. I think they should rethink their voting system for sure to avoid this from happening again.
Fight for Paradise: Who Can You Trust? (2024)
Interesting Personalities
Pros: I think this show included some diverse personalities. The actors displayed a lot of emotions which made the game feel heavier than it likely was. But it does a good job in pulling the viewer in. I like how the challenges weren't typical and were assorted. It created curiosity and the view wasn't able to tell exactly what would happen next.
Cons: I wasn't crazy about the host Bonnie. I would like to see someone a little older, just a little. The cast did a LOT of crying and it seemed scripted at times, which it more than likely is. However, I recommend the production team works on masking that a little more if it is.
The House (2022)
You Are What You Are
I appreciate this chapter, because it is a reminder that no matter how you try to dress something or someone up, things are naturally what they are. This chapter being set in the "current time" reminds me of the concept, "The Rat Race." You can build anything on earth and prop it up to be something that you'd like it to be, however, nature will always show itself as the dominant factor. That to me is what this chapter is all about.
