Little House on the Prairie (1974)
Some of y'all were never raised on Little House on the Prairie, and it shows.
I was a youngling while this series was still on the air and we'd watch it every Sunday night after dinner, along with Family Classics.
Some of my best memories come from that period of time. Those shows and that warm, home, family, wholesome vibe just did something to the endorphins that burned those comfy cozy memories in my mind to this day, some 40+ years later.
I genuinely feel this show should be required family watching during a child's early years. It just etches some deep down wholesomeness into your soul and I feel it makes you a better person inside. The "family" shows nowadays just aren't the same, and it's showing in today's society.
Monster: Doin' a Dahmer (2022)
Add a red afro and it's Napoleon Dahmerite
The acting in this series is so bad it's laughable.
Dahmer acts exactly like (a gay) Maker Napoleon Dynamite. The acting is completely unnatural to how things happen in the real world.
Dahmer's Mom, played by Molly Ringwald, is so poorly acted you often wonder if this is really a Saturday Night Live skit.
And a completely ripped Jeffrey Dahmer? Everyone's seen what dahmer looks like by now; he didn't have defined pecs and a 4 pack. What's the point here, to try and make Jeffrey dahmer into some sort of sex symbol?
And why pick Evan for the role? Not enough real gay men in the acting world? At least that might make it a bit more convincing.
Andor: Kassa (2022)
Is this even Star Wars anymore?
Disney really needs to stop wasting everyone's time with all of these boring newly created characters.
Randomly select some unknown city on some unknown planet with a bunch of unknown human characters doing mundane things noone really cares about; remove all the fun things that usually make up Star Wars ... the Jedi, Sith, the force, light sabers, force lighting, really bizarre creatures, and there you have Andor.
Aside from a newly created droid for our newly created, snoozefest of a human character, and a brief encounter with a humanoid alien who just stands there, there was nothing Star Warsy at all about this. It could barely keep my attention long enough to finish it and I'm dreading another episode of the same coming up.
Making an entire movie about Han Solo (WHY?), an entire series about "Cassian Andor" (WHO?), and other similar nonsense Disney is borifying the previously intriguing SW Universe.
Just focus on the Jedi/Sith stuff and stop with these lame-o scrubs.
Karen (2021)
Really?
I mean...
Really?
At what point during the filming of this did ANY of the white actors think this was going to be well received? Way to kill your career, Taryn Manning.
The Black Phone (2021)
Pretty lame
No plot twists, very little suspense, no excitement, poor acting, cheesy writing.
The only thing that makes this movie even remotely interesting is the mask; in retrospect imagining watching the movie without the mask being added and there's almost nada to make the movie worth the ones and zeros it sent over the Internet.
Also, while not extremely woke, it has some obvious woke elements thrown in to help make the writers, producers, etc. Feel like they've met their quota of Liberal activism so they can sleep better at night.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part III (2022)
I just have 1 question
Why is everyone saying obi is such "an old man?"
He looks like he's only in his 30s, or at most, 40s. Hardly old
C'mon now, don't be a bunch of ageists! 😄
Dennis Rodman's Big Bang in PyongYang (2015)
Sent this drunken, trans, marble mouth to rep the U.S...
How predictable was it that the all star u.s. Basketball team lost to the Korean team in front of their dictator and 5000 Koreans dressed in dark suits? Imagine what would've happened if the u.s. Team went in front of them and slaughtered them 120 - 0?
Best part is, Watching Rodman ... known for his rebellious behavior here, bowing before a *painting* of their dictator, and totally kissing his ass 😂
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 4: The Gathering Storm (2022)
The World: "You've got to work pretty hard to ruin Boba Fett"
Showrunners: "Hold my steamed soy matcha latte..."
Here you have a legendary star wars, already beloved character, and all they had to do was make him even more badass.
But instead, they focus more on this new fennec character, probably solely because it's a female, and you know ... "girl powah", who's a total bore, no one really cares about, and make a series that literally struggles to keep me from nodding off into slumberland.
Also, this Temura guy is just a horrible casting choice. He was "decent" as Jango, and now the entire franchise is stuck using him because he's the DNA for all the clones and Boba. Now we're all stuck with an old, bald, fat guy who physically looks nothing like the original (REAL boba in my book), with his big gut. And i have nothing against baldness, but it just feels wrong that Boba Fett is bald.
And who's decision was it to completely change his outfit? The colors are all off. It's like they figured as long as you keep a couple key things; the helmet, the gauntlets and the backpack, they could completely change the rest. It makes a difference.... imagine how much better it would look throughout the series if the original outfit was used instead. Much cooler.
That is, whenever they let him wear the armor. Instead, they have him running around bald, in robes and carrying a staff, like a 13th century Tibetan monk. Zzzzzzz.
I could go on and on, but then my review would just become as boring as the show itself.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 2: The Tribes of Tatooine (2022)
Meh
First off, Temoura does not look the way boba fett should look. He's 60lbs overweight with a huge gut, he's bald, he looks old. Boba should be a middle aged fit stud.
I just can't get past his gut. I mean Temoura, come on man, you probably knew long ahead of filming that you were going get your own series, and you couldn't hit the gym? It's running the whole immersion for me.
Other than that, it's just boring. Yay... We get to watch them stop a train. Woot. And the dancing? Is this Glee? Broadway? Wtf.
Rapidly losing hope for what seemed like an awesome decision to make a series about an awesome, iconic, character.
Amityville Playhouse (2015)
Recorded at a high school drama class?
I'll be honest; I just put this movie on as background noise while doing other things. The acting, on all parts, is so far beyond bad that I suddenly realize that there actually does take a modicum of talent to act (aka "play pretend").
The audio is equally as bad.
In fact, it's all so bad that I don't plan on actually watching it at this point, to follow the plot. It must've taken quite an effort to round up this many atrocious actors in one place at one time. I didn't think it was possible until I saw this.
Westworld (2016)
Season 3 Humped the Shark
S1 and to a lesser extent S2 were 9/10; S3 ...
Dunno wth happened with S3. Maybe if they'd have created a spinoff series with this narrative and left this main series within the "parks".
And Delores went from a likable character in the first 2 seasons, to just a lame, unlikeable stereotypical , one dimensional, "terminator" type.
Knocked the overall series down from an average 9 to a 7... S3 was an average 5 at best.
Two Sentence Horror Stories: Tutorial (2019)
C-Grade acting and writing
This entire series "feels" like the episodes are all class projects for a high school arts class, that they turned in at the end of the semester for a grade.
I think Netflix gave them a total budget of no more than $50 per episode. The writing is generic and uncompelling, and the acting, even worse.
Netflix is much more interested in churning out mass amounts of below average "woke" content, and this is one of them. This is why we all keep seeing our Netflix monthly rate go up.
Chris Rock: Kill the Messenger - London, New York, Johannesburg (2008)
The usual pro-black, anti-white "comedy".
Nothing new to see here. And like most liberal bullish, it also didn't age well. There's one bit in it where he talks about how there's no way in hell white people will let Obama become president; they'll change all the rules overnight.... well, how'd that anti-white racism turn out?
