I have to give this nine for it's originality in drama and horror. This was not what i expected at all. Frankly, i expected to give it 10, maybe 15 minutes, and then turn i off. I didn't believe it to be exactly my kind of movie. I am not to keen about all the hand-held - "we document everything". But i gave it a chance. And i am pleased that i did. I took about 5 minutes, to get stuck. And starting out, looking, a little bit like an over exited B movie, the quality kind of grew. And in spite of the surroundings didn't changes much, the quality did - it grew, all the way through. very Good plot - right till the end, good acting. I was very entertained, and stuck. Thank you...

How the H... did Nicolas Cage end up in this crappy movie. Not much to say. Very bad acting, very poor story. The lines, and dialog are amateurish. sometimes it's like watching a school play - no method acting in this movie. Cloth changes from cut to cut, situations who just happen to be in the very right condition - all the time... the store never actually catches on and the end is just a big laugh. This is a religious propaganda movie and i guess we now know where Nicolas stand on this issue??? All they do is trying to make people, who do not believe in god, in a specific way, very scared. Believing that everybody's god, is god for everybody, is certainly not good enough.

Just been watching first episode, and this is good. The humor is a bit too cultural in my taste (I am white), but i think that's part of the good - getting challenge in my daily experience. If Jesus did return, i think he would get along with this Jesus, just fine... I really think that the personality of Jesus is misunderstood. He had bad day's and good day's, he got angry and made mistakes. Said stupid things, and did stupid things. I don't know about the miracles, but he's ability to forgive and love, was/is what differs him from all other people. Black Jesus catches that - spot on, with beautiful humor. By the way, Jesus WAS black(ish)... And anyhow - i forgive you.

I must say, that i agree with most of, what have already been written.
It's all over decent entertainment. The acting also decent, but as said the wife is to much.
I think that the scenario is realistic. America is pretty much sold out, with nothing to offer but hot air. and it is very realistic that the Chinese will crave what is rightfully theirs.
The movie is doing a great job painting out, how that could be done in one way.
But the rest of the plot, i see as fear propaganda as used in 30's Germany and the 50's in USA against the Sovjet threat. North Korea could not have done this better i'm sure.
It is scaring the people, getting them ready for fight or flight (probably fight - no money i flight...) and it is seeding only violent and aggressive solutions.
We also need intelligent movies that seeds for peaceful and friendly solutions, done the not American way, but with dialog and agreements.
This is a political movie - without the politics. And in that term i don't think it is fair to borrow trillions from a country, so that you can act all big and mighty and then turn against the country you lend from, when you are about to get exposed or expected to pay back. That's how sociopath's or small children do it, so In that way it is a very childish and morally low movie
Watch the movie, get fairly entertained, but DO NOT let yourself get brainwashed into forgetting who made the problem (those who borrowed and spend) and not thinking about peaceful solutions.

No way this is near 10. This look like a movie shot in the middle of nowhere, in 20 days, starring people who had no sleep!
some might mistake this, as being a clever "feel bad movie". Well it's not. It's just a crappy movie. some thin story about a village and nothing else. no real story, no sub-story and no ending.
As said, OK in the beginning but slowly it turns to nothing. random actions. it is like they just made something up along the way. and no clues, hints, signs on whats going on. nothing to trigger your imagination, only void and wtf...
