The Real Murders of Los Angeles (2023)
LA Real Murders
Having watched The Real Murders of Orange County and The Real Murders of Atlanta, I was very glad to see that Oxygen have retained the format and now are revisiting stories in Los Angeles.
The editing as always is done well, along with the reconstruction shots and good narration. The interviews with the ex police and local journalists set a detailed picture of the time and local area. The victims families also thankfully are included to paint a true picture of who the person was, and what they stood for, what things they enjoyed, and what they meant to people. Hope Oxygen keeps these coming and continues to honor the people and tell their stories.
The Real Murders of Atlanta (2022)
Well made True Crime Documentaries
I have just finished watching all the episodes up to the end of S02.
Really enjoyed the shows format and shots of Atlanta along with the commentary from various local journalists, lawyers, and retired detectives who were active on the cases.
The archive footage and images used are respectful of the deceased victims and paints a detailed picture of their lives, who they were, and how they have impacted people in life and in death.
Oxygen TV has done well previously with Orange County and now this, hopefully they will continue to produce more seasons and continue to showcase in remembering people who were unfortunately taken too soon.
Bosch: Legacy (2022)
So Glad There is More!
Really enjoyed the original Bosch series which provided great character arcs and story-building, showed a lot of different parts of LA, and had quite a gritty tone in the harsh sunlight.
Bosch legacy continues this with: Titus Welliver on top form as a now PI, Mimi Rogers as an always a slick (now liberal) defence lawyer, and Madison Lintz who has now joined the police academy. The paths of the 3 characters cross well, and we see a few favourite faces from the original series (shout out to Crate and Barrel!).
Long may the series continue! Filming has recently wrapped and apparently it is going to be solid with input from Titus in the writing department.
Also Madison Lintz for some reason gets negative reviews, I find her to be an adept actor who has a good range of emotions. She keeps them in check a lot simmering under, with a hot head now and again rearing, alot like her oldman!
