Just Call Me Kade (2002)
Uplifting and informational
"Just Call Me Kade" is an informative yet personal story about a young man who copes with being born into the wrong body. It is the most inspiring, positive film I have ever seen involving a person's experience with gender identification and/or transgender issues. It is a short chronicle of a year in the life of Kade, a young teenager who is an FTM transgendered person, a boy born in a girl's body. He talks about his experience with his family, his girlfriend, and taking male hormones. I would recommend this film to anyone who generally enjoys learning about new things or seeing people's personal struggles turn out happily, and to anyone who wants to learn more about or is interested in the transgendered experience.
