I cannot stop thinking about this movie and how much I related to the main character, Shuri.
She starts out being very progressive and against tradition and is agnostic or athiest because it's admitted during the movie that she didn't believe in the ancestrial realm. She's headstrong and turns heads with the innovations she creates.
But then she is broken down when every one she has ever loved is taken from her, at an age that should not know such loss. She is then forced to pick herself up with a shattered heart, and because she wishes more than anything to talk to her mother one last time she pours all of her energy into her passion, innovation. She reverse engineers the blank panther's vibranium flower and comes face to face with the traditions that she has denied all her life.
The hallucinogenic flower she consumed changed everything she thought she knew about the world and even more than that, it changed her, she will never be the person she was. And that is echoed when at the end of the movie, her Mother comes to her and says what I think is the most brilliant line in the entire movie, "Show him who you are, Shuri."
