Rok Sako To Rok Lo (2004)
Story is interesting and keeps you at the edge of your seat
These types of movies, based on youths life, school going and college going students, are always entertaining. The story revolves around the students of two different schools and the rivalry between them.It shows how badly they just want to beat each other on any occasion.Really interesting to watch some of the scenes.I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.The story also has a meaningful ending. It has many new actors like Yash Pandit,Manjari Fadnis ,Carran Kapur.Sunny Deol and Namrata Shirodkar are also a part of the film where they guide the youngsters. The story is interesting and keeps you at the edge of your seat as something nice and interesting pops up every now and then.
Dosar (2006)
Trust me you will not regret
I have read many reviews about this movie Dosar and as many other people, this is also the first Bengali movie i have seen.I have seen this movie after reading many positive reviews and i completely satisfied with all. This is an amazing movie and nobody should miss this excellent movie of Rituparno Ghosh.Rituparno is an excellent director no doubt. He is one of the best director today that we have.Through Dosar,he goes on to show his excellence and the reason why he is the best.
Prasenjit as Kaushik Chatterjee and Konkona Sen Sharma as Kaberi Chatterjee have given brilliant performance. In the film, both are in the lead and are a married couple.Dosar is about how at a point Kaushik betrays his wife. You should watch this movie, trust me you will not regret.
The Last Lear (2007)
great to see such a beautiful art film
It's great to see Bollywood coming out of age and making great art film in different language. For some time I hoped Preity Zinta, cast as Shabnam, an actress Harry's co-star in the film he is making, would be given something like this to do that used the mature intensity I thought I saw in her. The Last Lear takes the 75-year-old Harish Mishra and us eventually and starkly into some of the themes of King Lear, not that you have to know the play to be affected by his performance as a retired Shakespearean stage actor in Calcutta, persuaded to take his first film role by Siddhartha, the hotshot young director played by Arjun Rampal.Arjun is superb as Siddharth and this is among his best. Rituparno is fab as the director and has done a superb job.Its an amazing art film and among the rarest art film that I have seen.
I Am 24 (2010)
A movie for the fans of Rajat Kapoor & Ranvir Shorey.
'I M 24' is all about a man who is ready to cheat and lie to seek love since he is left with no other way. And just like a typical Hindi film, truth wins at the end and 'I M 24' is no exception. But the way it has been made is superb.Hats off to Saurabh Shukla.
Coming over to the performances by the actors, everyone has given their best shot to their respective roles. Ranvir Shorey manages to create a sparkling chemistry with Rajat Kapoor and even actors like Vijay Raaz, Neha Dhupia and Delnaz Paul have managed to add charm to the movie despite their short roles. Cinematographer Fuwad Khan has captured some beautiful locales of Mumbai which is a plus point for the movie. Go and watch this awesome romantic comedy for the brilliant performances by Ranvir Shorey and Rajat Kapoor. The movie's USP is the actors' performances and a few funny lines that will make you laugh throughout.
Do Dooni Chaar (2010)
A brilliant film for every audience.
Habib Faisal made this awesome film in 2010 and it is an awesome film.I hardly saw a movie on the same theme in many years but was glad to see this excellent film.Based on a middle class family in Delhi, the film is about the problems and their life.It shows how difficult life becomes for a middle class family living in a metropolitan city with no proper source of income. Rishi Kapoor as Santosh Duggal and Neetu Singh as Kusum Duggal are simply outstanding. It was great to see both of them on screen after so many years and added to all this the superb performance by them. Its a film for every Indian family made brilliantly. It is a film that relates to many middle class family like me.You can not simply miss this amazing movie because such movies are not made very often now a days.
