Ulysses: A Dark Odyssey (2018)
Manly action film
Overall this movie is excellent. It doesn't take much thinking to watch, but definitely excites.
Driving While Black (2015)
Great movie. Loved all the characters, new and old
I recommend to watch it !! I can bet you'll love it just as much as I did.
Churchill (2017)
This is one of the best movies I have ever seen.
Churchill is a beautifully layered movie about the joys and sorrows of being a human being. No one in this brilliant story overplays their part; it's such a pleasure to be introduced to each of them as it unfolds. Just as in life there are starts and stops here which captivate the viewer from the beginning and they are drawn in until the ending. For those who say the story might not be plausible simply pick up the newspaper or watch the news these days; anyone involving the human spirit is possible. It would be too brazen to explain the plot in detail because like a great book, a great play or a great novel you simply know it when you see it. Unfortunately, the mass audiences will not appreciate this movie as it will be well above their mindset. I absolutely loved it.
Bilal: A New Breed of Hero (2015)
This is not Bilal
I told everyone I know about this film, a hope at least to re introduce the real Islam to the rest of the world, I followed the movie news since I first heard about it few years back, watched the trailer several times, and bought tickets for myself, mom and my little sister the moment it came out in cinema. The film was about someone else, not Bilal Ibn Rabah (RAA), I can understand that the director wanted to attract the western audience, but he didn't have to shy from Islam to do so, they intentionally and annoyingly whipped out Islam, and the director still justifies that as an attempt to present Islam, how can you present something by hiding that something? And here comes the lamest answer: This film is just to entertain people and create curiosity to learn more about Bilal and Islam! WHAT? Even kids won't buy to this rabish! Alresalah was a bold genuine movie about Islam, with a huge impact that is still lasting after 40 years and the guys that did Bilal thought Islam must be hidden (God knows why). No sir, you are faking it, it is a piece of cheap commercial, you are ruining the greatness of Islam and the real Bilal Ibn Rabah for your own commercial gains! Just ask yourself: would Bilal himself accept this? I hated the film, my mother hated it, my sister slept midway, it is not even good for fun.
Reminiscence (2014)
Great, spooky,very memorable and entertaining
Reminiscence is the first movie of director Akçay Karaazmak and it's almost a very successful horror film. It has very unique script and great atmosphere. There are lots of scenes that will scare the hell out of you. Movie always surprises you with the unexpected events. I liked very much the nature and all those different places in the movie. I can't tell the acting is very good, but movie atmosphere covers the amateur side of the cast. But I should tell that Slovak actress had a good performance. The other thing I really liked was the visual effects. They look very realistic and scary even the movie is not high budget one. Sound design could be better or it's the fault of mixing, I'm not very sure about that. But music is amazing and how it matches with the mood of the scenes is just great. Shortly, great visuals, unique script, very scary atmosphere, little bit poor acting and not a great sound mix but still, Reminiscence is a pretty strong horror film that's not perfect but it's certainly good enough to watch more then one time.
Deadline (2011)
All thriller and mystery genre fans will be genuinely pleased!
I watch a lot of movies, and I really feel like I see the same crap over and over. Well a friend was telling me that I should check out this low budget movie, and first when you hear low budget you think that it may now hold up to movies that have multi millions of $ spent one them. Let me tell you, I really enjoyed it though, and it was a gr8 surprise. When it started I thought I was in for another horror story, there was the classic beauty, and mysterious crimes going on, but you were never quite sure what specifically was happening. So the mystery element started to evolve in the plot, and you are not quite sure what is going on with these crimes that keep happening you just felt on the edge of your seat ready to see what happens next. Also the acting was top notch, and the director was able to pull together some great performances. Despite the budget for this film being on the bit lower end and the length of this film being a bit shorter than I would hope for (hour and 25 minutes) I was exceptionally pleased with this movie as it was HIGHLY entertaining and kept me on my toes dang near the ENTIRE MOVIE! For all thriller and mystery genre fans, please do not let some of the other bad reviews keep you from watching this movie, judge it for yourself! I am sure you will find it very entertaining just as I did. It makes for a perfect Saturday night movie. Just grab yourself a bag of popcorn and you'll be good to go! A+ to Deadline!
