Click (2006)
Click's sad scene.
I will admit I teared up in the sad scene in Click. It really got to me. I think Adam Sandler is improving with age.
Click is the first Adam Sandler film I 've ever seen on the big screen. All his other films I've only seen on TV years after they were made. I will admit I wasn't a Sandler fan, but lately the films he's made are making me take a second look. I only watched the water-boy because Rob Schneider has cameo's in it & I found myself thinking that this isn't to bad.(same with big daddy & 50 first dates.) I have yet to watch anger management & may someday watch happy Gilmore & The longest yard.
A good effort, great soundtrack !!!!
Battlestar Galactica (2004)
The one to watch !!!!
The new BSG is fantastic! As always I keep an open mind & adopt a try it and see attitude. Well this has paid off big time.! I am still a fan of the original Battlestar, it's a classic I've recently re-watched every ep. on DVD. When the new BSG was shown here I quickly became addicted to it,I like the military feel of the show,it's gutsy & real life. Ronald D Moore has done a great job with this show. The characters are more realistic than the original show, they're flawed,Human. I was a little bit concerned about Starbucks behaviour in the first few eps, when she hit Tigh(a senior officer)she seems to be a loose cannon. But now I'm used to her character I'm warming to her.Boomer on the other hand is my favourite.! She is conflicted, almost terrified that she is a cylon & doesn't know it. I don't mind that Boomer & Starbuck are girls,in fact I quite like it(and Boomer) the Boomer/Helo story is my fave part of the series. Baltar is great too!I'd hate to be him, always worried some one will find out his terrible secret,Number 6 won't stop intruding in his thoughts, he can't get away from her. I'd recommend this show to anyone. I can't wait for the next series.!!!!!
Kingswood Country (1980)
Strike me Catholic !
Pickle me Grandmother ! Strike Me Catholic ! just two of Ted's classic expressions. As a long time fan & studio audience regular I've lost count of the number of times I've heard that.
Kingswood Country is without a doubt my favourite Aussie Sit-Com of all time.!The cast of the show were great & the writing superb & typically Australian. Who could forget Neville the concrete garden Aboriginal ? or Gay Akubra & Repco Lad the laziest greyhounds in the world. Yes, Ted's behaviour in the early 80's is not too PC these days(nor is Eddie Booth's or Alf Garnet's) The supporting cast were great too ! Bobby Bullpitt (Ted's brother)Sister Maria (from St Josephs) Merle (Ted's sister in law. Without a doubt the funniest show I've seen.
