This is a strangers-become-friends-under-unlikely-circumstances movie. A buddy film, if you will. If that's all this movies was expected to be, it would be a passable, if strange, one of those.

In a normal action/thriller/horror film, the entirety of this movie would be a 5 minute montage in act two where the characters become close. Somehow they made a whole movie out of it.

What this movie does not have is an origin story of the creatures. For whatever reason I expected hints at least. Yes. It took place early in the story arc, but I hoped there would be origin nuggets unknown to the characters in the first 2.

I only watched this because I thought I started a film with a similar name. Started out with some promise. But that's it. It's as bad or worse than any horror film you will come across. Nothing ever happens.

The description says it was once only available in the Detroit underground movie scene. I wish it had stayed there. Then I would never have been exposed to it. The description also says it's the first film of director so and so. I hope it's the only one.

These people made a movie using only the top ten complained about horror movie short comings. Kudos for that I guess.

I won't bore you with a a plot or synopsis. There is no point. Try another movie. Any other movie.

I tend toward the grotesque horror. This is not that. Not that I don't appreciate an art film, just wasn't ready for this. So if you are like me and just want to see the good stuff watch the first 5-10 minutes to get a feel for why these people are so messed up. Then fast forward to the 1 hour and 5 minute mark when things kick off. 1:15 if you are really impatient. I'm sure the art house folks loved this movie. But it's so in love with itself that it's just brutally boring. Sadie is great as always. This woman who is the director's muse will suck you in. I just felt like I was cheated out of an hour or so of my life.
