Route 9 (1998 TV Movie)
3/10
predictable, inaccurate, forgettable
30 December 2006
First of all, yes, I understand that movies are fictional and don't always necessarily strive for realism in all aspects, but to name a movie after US Highway 9 -- which runs through portions of New Jersey and Delaware -- even use the highway sign for the title, and then stage the movie in a (fictional) desert town of Grimley, NV . . . that's just stupid.

From there it's all a very predictable, barely average movie. The acting is adequate enough to match the unexciting plot, which isn't saying much, and there seems to be an awful lot of mumbling (or maybe just a bad mix-down).

Don't waste your time on it unless it's one of those times where you just watch whatever happens to be on HBO, it's late at night, and you don't mind falling asleep before the movie is over. . . .

Animaniacs (1993–1998)
Why isn't this show available on DVD???????!!???
30 July 2004
I completely agree that this is the best cartoon series EVER created, for both kids and adults. It's highly intelligent, often shameless (and shamelessly funny) with its puns, as well as educational in one form on another in many episodes. Moreover, many of the musical numbers are nothing short of ingenious. . . .

I did find a couple of CDs available in the kids section of Amazon and the like, and there are a couple VHS titles available, but it seems a crying shame to me that some kind of complete and/or season by season DVD of Animaniacs doesn't seem to be available. What's up with that?!!

If anyone here has some type of connection to Warner Bros., I think a plug for a DVD release would be long overdue . . . I'm sure kids and adults alike would want to buy these up like crazy.
