Not what I signed up for

So I started watching this because I enjoyed the first one. And sure I saw this was going to be not a ghost but a real person. But when it became clear the real person was kidnapping girls and murdering them on video for money I moped out of it. That's not a horror movie that's a majorly messed up plot that has no business in a movie. So yeah. Not finishing that

Descendants 2 (2017 TV Movie)

It's a DCOM sequel

So I'll start by saying that I love love love the first Descendants movie. The first DCOM I've really loved sense Zenon. And just like Zenon, the sequel was what it was. Like so many sequels it just can't be as good as the first one. (But generally the 3rd is worth the wait.)

The Good: I liked seeing all my favorite Descendants again. Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay all seem to be moving on with their lives in their new home.

Jane and Lonnie get to be bigger parts of the show, while you don't have to deal with Audrey at all.

We get some fun new songs and dance numbers. Watching pirates dance will never get old for me.

The Bad: The CGI. Okay, I get it, it's the thing to do now, like on Once Upon a Time. Why make sets when you can just put them in digitally? The answer is because if they look digital they look dumb.

Auto-Tune. Don't use it if you don't have to. We heard most of these kids sing in the first movie and know they can, so why ruin their voices?

So that being said, I got what I expected. A bit of a cliché story-line with some favorite characters. Again, else would you expect from a Disney sequel?

Elena of Avalor (2016–2020)

Enjoyable for all Ages

so let me start out that I'm a 34 year old Disney fan with no children. I watch this show because I enjoy it and Sofia the First as lighthearted shows that bring me Disney Magic more often then new Disney movies come out.

I've read the other 4 review of this show, written when very few of the episodes where out and I feel that I can expand on what they have said.

Firs off, yes this show is a Spin Off of Sofia the First (a Disney Junior show), but with an older main character (Elena) so that it deals with ordeals of a more mature theme, which is why it's on the Disney Channel and not Disney Junior. Like StF there is at least one new song each episode, and they are written to at least sound like Latino music to keep with the feel of Disney's First Latino Princess. There are many other nods to different Latino cultures threw out the show. Which I find enjoyable, as it differentiates Avalor from all other Disney Countries, giving it it's own flair.

Most of the episodes deals with Elena, newly released from the Amulet of Avalor after 41 years, dealing with decisions she has to make as Crown Princess. Elena's still a teenager so things don't always go as planed. There have also been a few villains that come threw, some with magic making her Royal Wizard a necessary helper.

For those who want the backstory of Elena, how she got trapped in an amulet, how she got out etc. you will need to watch the Sofia the First special Elena and the Secret of Avalor, as, like I said, this is a spin off series. (I'm hoping that in the future there will be more crossovers and mention to places and things from StF in EoA).

All in all I think this is a great show, and properly belongs on the Disney Channel and not Disney Junior.

The Vampire Diaries: 500 Years of Solitude (2014) Season 5, Episode 11

As 100th eps go this wasn't so great

So, this is one of those 100th eps that they obviously wanted to get as many characters into it as possible, whether or not it made sense for them to be there. The episode is about (largely) Katherine dyeing. And honestly I was hoping she would, she's been an antagonist in this series long enough and honestly I'm tiered of her. So everyone else is taking time "reminiscing" on what she's done to them. And that's a nice way to do a bit of a 100 ep review without it being too obvious. It's when Klaus and Rebekah show up that I'm siting here going "But wait, they are in New Orleans dealing with big stuff, so why are they suddenly here?" (Thank you "The Originals".) And then dead people start making appearances. Dead people we haven't seen for a very long time. Some of these are thanks to Bonnie's fun new powers, and some thanks to Damon and his mind games. And really, by this point I was just starting to check off people who have appeared in the show to see how many they could squeeze in. It felt very forced. And the entire episode's actual plot could have taken place in about 1/2 the time. And in the end, it wasn't even worth it because Katherine isn't dead so I still have to deal with her.

Star Trek: Enterprise: These Are the Voyages... (2005) Season 4, Episode 22

I really like it

I agree that this series finally isn't as bad as almost everyone is saying. Sure, it used Riker and Trio from TNG, but in a way that let them tell a story that takes place 6 years after the last episode while still making sense. With Riker watching what happened on the Hollodeck of the USS Enterprise D, it made sense that there were jumps through time (both forward and back). And by having this show take place 6 years later, with the start of what will be the Federation, it allows "Enterprise" to really wrap it's story line. Especially that of Temporal Agent Daniels, who had already brought Captain Jonathan Archer to the signing of the charter in a past episode. This episode let us know *almost* everything we could want about what happened to the NX Enterprise crew after the series was finished. And the ending with the 3 famous Enterprise Captains reciting the Star Trek slogan was a wonderful way for us to say goodbye to Star Trek on TV. I give this episode a 10, possibly the only episode from this series to get the highest rating because it was touching enough to bring tears to my eyes. And I think they did an excellent job choosing an appropriate episode of TNG for Riker and Trio to be based in.

Fushigi Yûgi - The Mysterious Play (1995–2002)

This is one of my favorite series

I love this series! It was the first anime I bought years ago. The story line may be a bit predictable but, hey, that's shojo anime for you. I think all the characters are well rounded and have real feelings behind them, you just have to wait, sometimes, to find out what those feelings are. Also, I like the fact that the story takes place in several different settings, such as a country based on ancient China as well as in modern day Tokyo. I feel that the characters develop well going to the different places. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes anime, especially anyone who likes "Ceres: Celestial Legend" which is buy the same author. And don't forget to watch the multitude of OVAs that come after the series, for the most part, they finish up the storyline.
