Top of the Lake (2013–2017)

Better than "The Killing"
4 May 2013
I do not want to include any spoilers in this review, well because I want you to enjoy this miniseries as much as possible. Top of the Lake tells the story of a young girl named Tui and a detective named Robin. That's all I'm going to you. The best part of this miniseries is its slowness. Most shows bore when they get slow, but this show draws you in and makes you appreciate its slow pace. For god sakes, it took "The Killing" two seasons to tell me who killed the girl. That is definitely too slow, and the girl's family in that show was very boring. This is so unlike this series. You cannot group these two together. It is a very unique insight into humans and our reasonings. With many twists and turns, I highly recommend this show. I have a feeling that this show will have many nominations this year at the Emmys. Tip: The show is available on Netflix, and may be reairing on the Sundance Channel in America or BBC in the UK.

The Good Wife: What's in the Box? (2013)
Season 4, Episode 22
10/10
Plot Twists Galore!
28 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
From the box to the phone call, I have no idea where to start. This episode was jam packed with plot twists, emotional turns, and a good conclusion to the campaign. What made me like this episode specifically was that it made me question what I believe is going to happen. Only a good show can make your reasonings spin. I for sure thought that Peter's opponent was ballot stuffing, then I thought it wasn't even stuffing. Then it turns out that it was Peter's campaign! I'm still iffy to whether Peter knew or not. Probably not. Then the emotional turns with Will and Alicia that made me insatiably want more from that relationship. A mysterious call Alicia made made me think it was to Will, to allow them to talk about their relationship. I believed that she was going to go back to Will; oh what a dream! Turns out, it was a Carrey! Carrey with his new firm of younglings. This episode has me pumped up for season 5, hopefully they will integrate Kalinda more into the storyline and utilize what a great storyline they have set up in this episode. So since CBS has renewed The Good Wife for at least one more season, Cheers! Se you all in the fall with another 20 glorious episodes of The Good Wife.

American Horror Story: Spilt Milk (2013)
Season 2, Episode 11
9/10
Liberating
9 January 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the best episodes of American Horror Story: Asylum yet. I would call this the liberation episode because of the way the characters speak to you. Lana finally gets liberated from Briarcliff and gets to be freed of Dr. Thredson's (Bloody Face) evil grip. We also see Sister Jude being liberated as she taunts the Monsignor and relinquishes all her thoughts of him. It was a very fast paced episode that was a pleasure to watch solely because of every viewer's longing for Lana to be free, fulfilled. One of my two stipulations is the painfully awkward moments with Grace and Kit; they could've made it better. Also the moments with Lana and Dr. Thredson's son made me think I was watching a porno. This is why I give the episode a 9/10 of a score. The best episode by far is still "I am Anne Frank: Part 2."

The Good Wife: Waiting for the Knock (2012)
Season 4, Episode 5
10/10
A jam packed episode filled with Lemon Bishop, the Florrick's campaign scandal, and the Kalinda side story.
28 October 2012
This was one of those unique Good Wife episodes that puts you on the edge of your seat. The way Alicia gets stuck with a dilemma really brings out the morality within her. This episode is considerably plot driven, it has no side story that don't relate to the story's main plot like most lawyer type episodes. I like how we get to see a different side of Lemon. He is not this scary drug-pin anymore. He is now a father. It really exemplifies how people can have two sides. Along with a very cryptic ending. This episode deserves a 10, by far one of the best this season. I have to fill the rest of this space. I have to fill the rest of this space.
