Very interesting documentary on an amazing athlete.
24 June 2014
I really enjoyed this documentary. I liked learning about Cristiano's childhood and his family. There's also lots of interesting tidbits. For example, as a child he was more of a quiet individual and now he poses for ads in his underwear (his own brand). Nothing wrong with that, I loved all the images of Cristiano in this film. There's also an interesting piece in this documentary where there is an astrologer, who directly relates Cristiano's communication style with his astrological sign. He said since Cristiano is an Aquarius that is partly why he excels in his communication. I don't know if that's true, but very interesting and is working for Cristiano. Before watching this film, I wouldn't have called myself a Cristiano fan, but now I am.

Get ready to be inspired!
26 February 2014
I loved this film! Wow, I would love to visit this place. At first, I was thinking this place is real, is this a documentary? Why do they have an actor portraying a journalist? How is it going to play out? But it turned out great. Because as the journalist, she was asking the same questions I was wondering about this place. I love that there are communities like this in the world. And even though I doubt I will ever visit there, it was nice to learn about it in this film. They made it sound as though true happiness is achievable. It's not found in money,or other material things,it's found within yourself. How easy is that. So I think even though I may never visit an Ananda Community, this film gave me some insight and inspiration on achieving true happiness. Definitely watch if you are ready to be inspired!

Great documentary on an amazing entertainer.
17 December 2013
I love this documentary about Justin Timberlake. I've always been a fan. But I learned a lot more about him through this film. I knew he was on the Mickey Mouse Club but I had no idea he had been a contestant on Star Search. Which is funny, I used to watch that show all the time. This film follows his career from the beginning. It also, talks about his home life growing up and has pictures from when he was just a little boy. It talks about his relationship with his mother, sounds like a strong one. Jessica Biel better watch out(ha ha). The film also talks about what the music and entertainment industry think about his acting roles. Seems like there is nothing this guy can't do. After watching this film, I'm even more impressed with all his accomplishments and at such a young age.

Great stories from classic Hollywood.
16 December 2013
I really enjoyed this film. These men are creative geniuses and it was great to see them all in one place having a good time. Some of my favorites from these writers include: MASH, Different Strokes, The National Lampoon films. So it was great to hear them reminisce about those times. The film not only has footage from the restaurant conversations but also feature one on one interviews with each of the writers. Which I really liked a lot. The personal stories of how they came to be writers, to their stories of their family life. It was all very interesting. I recommend this film to anyone who loves classic TV and movies, it's also just interesting to see how these creative minds think.

Courageous and funny warriors!
11 December 2013
I like the honesty of this film. We hear how these servicemen and woman were injured. And the physical and mental pain they went through and are still going through. Very courageous.

I really fell in love with these guys. First they go and fight for our country. Then they get severely injured. And now they are being brave again and going out there on stage and trying to make us laugh. That is awesome! They said it is a way to help them heal, but it's still a service they are providing the public, providing humor and laughter. They are very funny individuals. I would definitely pay to see them if they were performing at a club.

Pink nicely documented through the years.
26 November 2013
I really liked this film. I like how we get to see her career from beginning to current. One thing I learned in this documentary was that Pink was an R & B artist before she became Pink. I had no idea. I probably would never have got to enjoy her music if she stayed R & B. After watching "Pink: Staying True", her songs make so much more sense to me. I understand what she meant and was going through while she wrote the songs. We learn that she fought hard to let the world know the real Pink. Looks like it paid off for everyone. The interviews are really good too. The documentary shows you interviews and clips from when she was a teenager up to now. So you really see her "grow up". She is still wild, of course but there is a difference. I love seeing all her different looks through the years.

Cage Fight (2012)

Good fight film, good story
15 November 2013
Good cage fighting film. The fight scenes are good. The story makes sense and is believable. No romance, just a guy (Guerrero) trying to find his family after being smuggled back into the U.S. from Mexico. He has to fight to earn money to find his family. The guys who basically own him are running illegal cage fights. They take advantage of the fact that he has no money and is desperately looking for his family. They promise him they will help with the search and pay him very well for his fights. Although Guerrero does not know this, basically if he doesn't win they will kill him. They are corrupt and murderers. This film did a good job keeping my interest to see if he would win, how bad he was going to get beat up along the way and if he would find his family. There is a twist at the end of the movie too.

Very funny show!
14 November 2013
South Africans love Nik Rabinowitz. He has the audience roaring with laughter with jokes that poke fun at local culture and politics. I honestly didn't get a few of the jokes but the laughter is contagious and Nik delivers with high energy and insight. Nik is hilarious the way he interacts with the audience. Don't go to the loo during his show, he asked someone in the audience if they needed to go one or two. His gestures and his facial expressions are a crack up. And at the end of the show, he and another comedian do a duet of a hysterical musical number they put together. Don't know if anyone else could have pulled it off quite the same. If you want to have a good laugh, I recommend watching this movie.

Sunset Strip (2012)

Reliving great memories of the Sunset Strip
11 November 2013
I like how this film documents all eras of the Sunset Strip. From the beginning of it's creation (dirt road surrounded by Poinsettias) to now. I wish I would have been around to experience Sammy Davis Jr. performing at Ciro, to have been there while history was being made. Wow! I also liked hearing the stories being told by the celebrities themselves who experienced these memorable times. There are stories of sex, drugs and rock and roll in this film as you would expect. Since it's a documentary, it's explaining the lifestyle of how things were on the Sunset Strip during those times. You will hear some great stories about this famous strip of road, from the celebrities, to the buildings and even about the energy of the strip.

Babysitters need to be paid a lot more, this kid's crazy.
22 October 2013
If you think this babysitter looks familiar she's been in a lot of stuff. I remember her back from the show ER. She was Dr. Green's (Anthony Edwards) bratty daughter. She is great as Zoe, the babysitter, in this movie. She is in charge of three kids. I was wondering why they needed a babysitter since Jack seems old enough to care for the other kids. But you soon find out that there is something not right with this guy, so no wonder they need a babysitter. Those parents are cruel to leave a babysitter basically alone in the house with Jack, knowing full well what he is capable of. Forget about doing a background check on babysitters. After you watch this movie, babysitters will want to do a background check on the parents and the kids they are supposed to be watching!

Great film about One Direction, their start and still climbing
18 October 2013
There are a lot of interviews in this film. They interview music industry insiders and interviews with the band. It's funny how I can understand them singing just fine (I love their music), but I have trouble understanding them when they talk. Sometimes I forget that they are from the UK and come with such cute accents. One thing I remember them saying is, They like American girls and think we are polite. They talk about how they came together as One Direction, how they met and how both Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherinziger (from the Pussycat Dolls) put the band together. It's really an interesting story of how they began and how fast their popularity grew and the end is not in sight.

A wonderfully made documentary on breast cancer.
17 October 2013
A wonderfully made film. Very educational documentary. We all hear about breast cancer and know someone that has breast cancer, but unless you have it (or someone very close to you has it) than there's a lot out there that you don't know. The film tells it to you in a way, without boring statistics, but actual life stories so that you are interested and stay interested throughout the movie. These women in the film, open up to you and bare their bodies and innermost thoughts. And I really applaud them for doing that. I now feel I have a better understanding of the disease. I would recommend this film to everyone really. I would especially recommend you see this film if you know someone who has breast cancer, I think it would help the relationship.

Great space movie
20 September 2013
I really enjoyed this movie. In fact, I think it's one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Great acting by everyone in the movie. Brian Baumgartner has always been one of my favorite actors. Nice to see him in a non comedic role. Khary Payton, who has the lead, is a very believable astronaut. You really feel bad for his character, Michael Forest. How lonely and scary it must be for these brave astronauts. It felt almost like a documentary because I felt like I was learning about what astronauts go through, day to day in space. A very realistic space movie. It has a great unexpected ending. I recommend this movie to all sci-fi fans. My friend I saw this movie with is not a Sci-fi fan at all and she still loved it.

Watch it with your partner, even better
20 September 2013
Very interesting film. I like how this film is told by real women and of different ages. It definitely answered any questions I had about this lifestyle. I was interested and I had my husband watch with me, he liked the film as well. We were just interested to see what this lifestyle was all about. They talked about how they got started in to BDSM, what they've learned, the rules, cuts and bruises. These days you hear about all different types of lifestyles out there. I just like to get a little insight on all of them, to be more open minded. This film does open your eyes to this lifestyle. I would recommend this movie for couples to watch together.
