Satyagraha (2013)
A good coverage on India Against Corruption Movement
1. First of all , I will like to criticize Prakash Jha for not giving any credit to India Against Corruption movement in his interviews during film promotions. The Film is totally based on Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal and on the IAC movement. Instead, Prakash jha told that movie is based on father- son relationship.
2. Now, Thanks to Prakash Jha For Two Big Reasons:
A.) After a long time He came up with a movie where he put a logical concluding climax and did not deviate from the main topic. The movie is intense, splendid and Well crafted in typical prakash jha style.
B.) Many thanks to him as due to this movie the citizens of India can visualise the IAC movement and hardships and challenges faced by Anna Hazare, arvind kejriwal and IAC Team.
3. Acting:
Amitabh Bachhan : The Mega Star has done total justice with the role of Anna hazare. He is the soul of movie and His aura is such that other actors fade in his presence on the screen.
Ajay Devagan: As usual he has done a great job with intensity and seriousness.
Manoj Bajpai: The Villain is lovable and charming as usual in his own eshtyle.
Summary: The great acting by lead actors or a great movie by prakash jha on yet another critical socio-political issue is not the summary of the movie.
The summary of the movie is that after watching the movie, you should feel great sense of respect for the people like Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal, as they are doing a selfless act of burning themselves and their family for a much bigger cause.

Incredible attempt in parallel cinema
It is a very realistic approach in movie making by the director. It's a shame that such a beautiful piece of cinema does not gets the deserved credit. This movie is a honest and crude presentation of a very serious issue of Bihar in the past.A very authentic movie capturing every minute detail about the issue in a very true manner.
All the characters in the movie have performed brilliant and a special mention to the dialogs which are fabulous. Vinay shows a full command over his role of a dictating father.
A must watch for all who like meaningful cinema. Hats off to the director to have the courage of making film on a less known issue knowing the fact that the movie may not give him a commercial success.
