Robin Hood: Something Worth Fighting For: Part 2 (2009)
fantastic show with good-actor-sex symbols as a bonus
I've just finished watching this on DVD. It was excellent! I was hooked 10 minutes into the very first episode. I continued to watch all of it, even showed to my mom how good it is, and loved every minute of it. What first caught my eye was how each scene was introduced with the sound of a shooting arrow along with the title. Beautiful scenery in Hungary. I'd like to know, however, where they filmed the Holy Land when they went to see the King. Was that on location?
I enjoyed seeing incredibly sexy Richard Armitage as the bad guy. I've seen him on MI-5 as the good guy as well. I'm planning on seeing him as Thorin on the upcoming LOTR movie later this year. I heard his singing voice on a trailer, he sounds great too. And on an interview on Youtube. He's such a gentleman. He was great as Claude Monet!I honestly believe he can play any role very well, just like George C.Scott.
I will be on the watch for BBC Strike Back DVD on the local library shelf. Or North and South.
And Jonas Armstrong, is another incredible actor. Both he and Richard don't just have degrees in acting, they got the great talent within. I quit watching soap operas because obviously while they have OK story lines, aside from a few actors, the acting is bad! (laughing here) The scenes that reveal how Guy feels-"End it now, I live in hell" plus where Marian dies, which is the long and drawn out saddest scene ever-plus when Robin dies- were the best that made the show! I've never cried like that before. The last time I cried at a movie it was Titanic I think. Anyway that's my review, thank you!
