BFF Zombie
15 April 2012
Our family had a viewing of BFF Zombie and the youngest hasn't had a good night's sleep since. She has taken up residence on the sofa and will only sleep with every light in the house on. I made the mistake after viewing the movie as we were driving home of opening the back window without giving my children any notice. That set off shrieks and tears as apparently a zombie was coming through the window. The make-up application for the zombies was excellent in its ability to be disturbing. I feel it speaks volumes that this film was able to have such an effect on a tween and a teen in 2012. Children that have grown up with splashy Hollywood type effects were mesmerised by this short film.

What I found refreshing as an adult viewer was the humour that was injected into this film. While my children were gasping the adults were laughing. BFF Zombie is certainly a juxtaposition of horror and comedy wrapped up in a neat package.I certainly recommend this film and look forward to seeing more from this film maker.
