X-Men '97: Fire Made Flesh (2024)
Inferno
Not much you can say on this. I liked the inferno saga in the comics. This episode just touches base on it and not very well. It could have left as a cliff hanger for Jean and Madelyn but it just awkwardly sums it up with out any true conclusion.
The mutants get sent to limbo in the mansion. Jean saves them. Magneto takes a team to save Nathan. Madelyn beats them up only to find Nathan with the techno organic virus. Madelyn quickly changes her tune. Becomes good again. She then gives Nathan to Bishop who takes him to the future. Her and Jean part ways. Both saying they don't know what memories are theirs or the other or when they were switched...
X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)
Another script gone bad!!
If you want to go see a movie this summer that has good special affects and does not have a smart script. Than this is the movie for you.
However, if you are an actual X-men fan and by this I mean you have knowledge of the Chris Claremont's X-men. Than this is not the movie for you.
First I would like to say the rest of this contains spoilers so beware.
So Kitty Pride has now gotten her secondary mutation and it allows her to send the minds of her comrades a few days or weeks into the past to warn them of trouble when it happens.....how lame is this, she sends wolverine's mind back into the past but she has to stay connected to him throughout the whole movie, and one point she gets slashed by his claws....why not use her the way she was in the comics and make her super smart...she was a bloody engineer...and have her make a time travel machine...
Second...this whole mystique becoming the most important mutant in the universe because of her DNA that allows her to change and adapt, is just stupid...and the future sentinels are completely ripped off from the Asgard Destroyer.....
Third...Xavier,Magneto, and Mystique love triangle....I don't know why they keep pushing this...but it is really annoying and not a good angle to be going in...
fourth the inconsistencies that are not explained...
so in the end, I did not like this movie, it wasn't a bad movie...I just didn't care for it the above reasons and more...
I hope this helps you as either a true xmen fan or a movie/cartoon knowledge xmen fan
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
awful
no spoilers here......if you are expecting a decently written movie, you will not get it...if you are looking for good CGI you will not get it...if you are looking for cliché special effects you will get it....if you are wanting your brain to melt from you ears you will get it....if you want things to make sense, you won't get it...
purely a bad bad bad bad movie
on par with such bad comic movies as
Batman and Robin Catwoman Captain America The Incredible Hulk * 1st 2000 version
so if you didn't like any of those, you won't like wolverine...
