Rams (2020)
Heartbreaking portrayal of life on the land
I started watching this film because it has Sam Neill in it. I'd had a long day and wanted something gentle.
This is not. It's a roller coaster of emotion. Laughter, crying, anxiety, and anger. Seriously I wanted to slap the Dept of Ag guy.
The scenery is breathtaking.
Story is simple and shows the absolute heartbreaking reality of living on the land. Don't ever let anyone tell you a farmer doesn't care about their animals. I've had Sam Neill's character sat on my therapy couch.
Grab a box of tissues. Pull the rug over your knees and snuggle your fur kid.
It's amazing.
Lucifer: Goodbye, Lucifer (2021)
No less heartbreaking on second watch
Tears for so many goodbyes.
.
Maze goes on her honeymoon but not before hugging Lucifer.
Ella gets a pencil with meaning.
Dr Linda realises she has helped Lucifer.
Dan finally gets to leave.
Perfect in its tone of sadness for the second last episode. Ever.
Lucifer: Partners 'Til the End (2021)
My heart hurts
Oh my Dog! It's a rare thing for me to cry as much as I did during this episode. Because it's the end of a era. No, because the rap up of everyone's stories is beautifully, heart aching, simple, and meaningful.
Charlie. Good to see you get your happy ending.
I'm so sad to see this series end, but I also know it's time. Like all things loved, it'll be grieved.
I'll watch it all many times again and I'll always think of Luci when I rewatch Bones.
Lucifer: Is This Really How It's Going To End?! (2021)
Oh Dan!
Such a magnificent, heartbreaking episode. So many tears. Ella and Lucifer singing at the funeral bleeding into the comeuppance is perfect. Mazikeen's response just shows that she would take a bullet for him.
A brilliant tonal shift.
