Just BAD!
30 January 2023
The much-anticipated romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel was a huge disappointment. From the moment the film started, it was clear that the writing was lacking any real substance or creativity. The characters were one-dimensional and lacked any real depth, making it difficult to connect with them on any emotional level.

Jennifer Lopez's performance was a major letdown, as she was unable to bring any real charm or charisma to her role. Her character was supposed to be a strong, independent woman but came across as shallow and uninteresting. Josh Duhamel also failed to impress, delivering a lackluster performance that was devoid of any real spark or energy.

The story was predictable and lacked any real surprises or twists. The dialogue was cheesy and forced, making it difficult to take the film seriously. The filmmakers tried to add some humor to the film, but it fell flat, coming across as forced and inauthentic.

The supposed "romantic" moments between the lead characters were awkward and lacked any real chemistry, making it difficult to believe that they were meant to be together. The film failed to make you root for their relationship or care about their happiness in any way.

Overall, this was a major misfire and a huge disappointment for fans of both Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel. It's a film that is best left avoided, as it offers nothing of value in terms of entertainment, romance, or comedy.

The Northman (2022)

A bloody and breathtaking masterpiece!
12 April 2022
Amleth is the main character, but move the last letter and put it first in the name and you will see the contours of the epic costume: a dark tale of a father murder, a killer uncle and the little boy who has witnessed it all and wants revenge. Shakespeare borrowed the plot from the Nordic medieval legend about Amleth to "Hamlet", but Robert Egger's handling of the material in "The Northman" is a far more brutal and more existential experience. A pure bloody masterpiece, brutally breathtaking.

Mediocre soap fantasy production
12 January 2022
I've now watched through the entire series and can unfortunately state a poorly executed direction that often resembles a mediocre soap fantasy production.

The soap factor is clearly noticeable in the last two episodes when acting with long pauses in the dialogue and face close-ups. The same boring close-ups as they walk through the dark forest in the last episode.

Not what I expected but in a very positive way!
20 March 2021
My first thought when the tv-show was announced that it probably would be an ordinary mainstream series with ordinary superheroes doing ordinary super deeds, but to my suprise it has a completely uniq complexity.

Story ok but direction and editing is a disaster.

The story is quite ok but the direction and editing is a disaster.

The person responsible for the sound editing probably felt the same and tried to smooth over the worst shortcomings by adding a constant background sound.

I disgust when it's not quiet for a single second, especially when the series is set far up in Lapland where the natural sounds should be enough.

A big beginners mistake!

Masterpiece!
15 November 2020
This TV Mini-Series is a masterpiece and it is only fitting that this extraordinary life is brilliantly told through a truly great picture. The direction by Scott Frank is superb, and the story could not have been told better with a great script and acting performances all round.

Unrestrained crazy new tv show - you won't believe your eyes!
10 May 2020
One cuts off his hand and the other is constantly pissed off - the lives of brothers Thomas and Dominick are marked by so many tragedies you'll just gaping.

The show is such a mixture of genre, depiction of growing up, family tragedy, prison drama and therapy sessions, that you sometimes won't believe your eyes. And it's precisely the shamelessness that makes it difficult to tire. Not to mention grandpa's memoirs. What kind of family curse will be revealed?

Regarding season 2: Sloppy!
7 January 2019
Mr Thornton is still good but the production design, directing and screenplay is sloppy and contains way too many cliches. A tip for season three: try again, only right this time... :-)

Brilliant Tech Noir meets David Lynch and Sigmund Freud!
23 September 2018
A modern and utterly wonderful Tech Noir seasoned with a mixture of David Lynch and Sigmund Freud! :-) Screenplay and acting in a perfect match for the genre.

It's absolutely brilliant, a must-see!!
