I enjoy SHOWs like this - they are exactly what they are - SHOWs - aimed at telling the horrible and even sometimes boring story of what happened, in a more 'entertaining' fashion. Yes, there are sometimes hiccups and inconsistencies in animations and details - nothing in this world is ever perfect in execution. However, most reviewers today, seem to feel obligated to vent their own 'expert' opinions (no doubt gained by themselves through many many years of television production and forensic science experience), upon the producers and cast. What they seem to conveniently forget, is that this is, at the end of the day, an "entertainment" show. If one wants to watch the exact, dry, unvarnished truth, of any situation then one must realise that this will result in a 27second show where someone says 'The wheel failed because the metal fatigued, which caused the train to derail killing x number of people and injuring x number of others'. That is the exact, factually correct version, of an incident, which reviewers seem to be expecting, but which unfortunately, will not make a full tv show.

Pretville
(2012)
It is what it is.

Considering that it comes across as a tongue in cheek homage to the 50's to 70's musical comedy genre, it is pretty good as it stands. One should not expect Oscar performances from the cast, as it is not that kind of a production. Never the less, a few of the cast did indeed continue on to become world known names. Even though the story line may be a little thin, it is done in a charmingly humorous style and still manages to poke some fun at many of the conventions of the day. The original music and style is extremely well done and adds much to the film. Taken all in all, this is a light hearted musical intended to entertain the audience.
The Drone
(2019)
Technology movie ...

A very disappointing attempt at making technology into a villain. Drones are getting a bad rep in real life due to largely imagined transgressions against the public in general, and here comes a film giving a drone a life of it's own. Yes, I get that it is a very tonue in cheek movie, at least I assume it was meant to be, since any normal adult would have been able to totally destroy the drone in five seconds. I just feel that the story could have been better developed, better filmed, and more effort done in the "gory" scenes. I feel very badly for actor Rex Lynn for being ivolved in what appears to be a box office bomb after performing in some really good content - Rush Hour, JAG, Lethal Weapon (TV) and A Million Ways to Die In The West, to name but a few.

A generally good, all round fun movie, with a little saucy spice thrown in, and still watchable to this day. I firmly believe the determining value of any media is that it stands the test of time, and people keep watching or listening to it years after release - sort of like Elvis Presley and Adam Ant .....
