svenja gives us a one of a kind experience
6 January 2022
A Story set during the time of the Berlin Wall, giving you a one of a kind experience what it was like working at the Friedrichstadtpalast aka The Palace in the 80s.

I rarely watch german productions, cause I mostly dislike them in certain ways but what a surprise this show was!

Svenja Jung is amazing in her double role as twin sisters, always on point in her acting. Sometimes powerful, other times more emotional. She's like the cherry on top of a well done production. The beautiful score combined with those stunning pictures made my eyes water literally in every episode.

I'm not a fan of the revue or burlesque shows, but how they put this piece on screen is excellent. Overall a decent cast with Svenja being the Star of the Show without a doubt. Also worth mentioning is Heino Ferch who played the father in an astonishing way, proving his acting talents once again.

I binged this show within 2 days, its beautiful. Give it a try, even if its just for Svenja, probably the biggest talent in Germany right now.

this is a solid thriller! don't believe the negative reviews!

I watched it cause I follow Katheryn Winnick's career, and the entire cast looked promising. What I stayed for was the captivating story and the entire cast, especially aaron eckhart was brilliant in this. don't believe the negative reviews, couldn't find any turth in them. if you like good thrillers, watch this! I watched it nonstop without pausing even though I wanted to take a nap right before. ♥

Atomic Blonde (2017)

cheesy and fictional action-movie with some badass combat!
2 August 2018
Charlize theron delivers in all seriousness how good she can play any character. Unfortunately the rest of the cast was disappointing within this simple plot. you will enjoy some nice cinematography during the intense combat fights, which is the gem of the whole film. overall acting was bad, mostly overacted either bei the actor or the screenplay itself. They obsiously didn't have anyone for research, as I noticed the horrible way they implemented german language into the film. The german speaking by english actors was bad and barely understandable. Also the german writings on the protesters signs were wrong and awful. if a movie is happening during a historical event, why are we seeing a german population based on 80% punks?! And by the way, punks don't usually dance to american rap music. So what else do we get? For our ears, we receive some cheesy 80s music, which doesn't really show off what germans actually listened in the radio. For our eyes, we see a decade without any ugly glasses or silly fashion in colorful settings to turn the grey of the past into a colorful cheesecake. So its basically just a fictional movie using a historical event.

If u like combat fights with all its brutality and smooth cinematography, you will enjoy this film. Otherwise, skip it!

The Circle (I) (2017)

Sometimes low-ratings aren't so far off the films quality
5 July 2017
Positive Reviews about this movie being underrated and having an unexplainable low-rating made me watch it without a doubt. And it also has a pretty cool coverphoto. I trusted the peoples reviews and gave it a try since I love watching Emma Watson and Tom Hanks within any flick; and this one right here had some interesting story about our possible future life.

Actually, its good to have movies like these where we face the problems that might occur, but this flick did not reach its potential and got totally ruined by itself.

Despite the sudden ending, leaving a massive plothole and the cheesy and weak dialogs throughout the entire film it has some nice moments where accidentally the cinematography was having a few good seconds, the score was fitting and the lights perfect. but that was it, the car scene, beautifully captured. Tom Hanks was doing a decent job as company boss having speeches and a very natural charismatic aura that kept my attention every time. Awkward is the word I would use Emma's acting here, I don't think she's good to play a young adult or teenager since it becomes too cheesy, remembering her role in "the bling ring".

Dialogs have been used to lose my interest in any detailed conversation, unexplainable mindchanging moments. So why watching it?.. to understand what the movie trys to tell us in an uncomfortable way, for people who rly don't understand what social media can get us to in the next decades.
