The story has already been told. But better. It's the usual pattern. Mother and child. Child behaves strangely. A mixture of obsession and puberty and - reincarnation. (There better Movies out there!) Child shows sick traits. Mother is blind. Ignorance from adults, which really annoys the audience after 45 minutes. A weepy father who cannot assert himself. (Why are there sooo many Whimps in Movies lately?) The ominous scientist and doctor appears. (Hypnosis - who would have guessed??) - It continues to go downhill. Short conclusion. An old T-shirt redesigned. Been there, done that,got the T-Shirt and Wore it out. And just to be told: If my child would start to kill off pets etc. I would know - something is wrong and a hug and cuddle won't help!! Mother had it coming! Watch "Omen" or something better instead! The Ending is similar here but bad.

A good Lesson - History and Heart

I am so happy about that Show! It's memories, nostalgia & emotion, mixed in a good history lesson. I watch it with a good friend. One thought was - we hope the young audience is watching it too. They run around, like everything is for granted out there. They enjoy Club-Life and Party, holding Hands on the Streets and think, that being Gay is pure Fashion and Party 24/7. But we had a very long Way to get to the Point, where we are today. We had to fight for every Right to be - somehow - equal. We left a long Trail of Tears out there, and on that Fight, we lost many Friends. I was pushed away from my Family after my Coming-Out, but in those Days, I found a new Family. And we stick together til now. Some Members are already no longer with us too. Some of their Names might never be known to the bright Public. We have paved the Way for Years and we still fight, to make a better place for Up- and Outcoming young Gay Generations. So my message is... if there is an older Gay around, hear their Storys and be sure, you might profit from that. The Show brought some tears to my eyes... happy and sad ones. Can't wait for the next Episode! And I wan't to let the Rest of this World know... the Fight is not over... And I am one of the proud Soldiers in it! I am proud to be Gay!

Best German Cinema in a long Time!

It's been a long time but today I went out of the Cinema and felt astonished. Brigitte Maria Mayer took something old and dusty and transformed it into something great. . She did put a Mirror up in front of our "Today" Faces and the Society. Visually stunning and overwhelming. I could feel the betrayal and Pain. Emely Cox and and Valerie Koch brought tears to my eyes. German Cinema in the last years, made it hard for me to like. Tonight I changed my mind a bit. There is still Art out there. We, the Germans, are able to fulfill something great.. It hit every single nerve and I feel stopped and forced be be surprised again. If you get the chance to watch it ....DO! . This piece of Art is wonderful. I hope you will see the same in it as I do.

All in all, it is a full feature length movie, that is actually based on a 2005 Short Movie called "Monster" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0466566/?ref_=tt_rec_tt) The Short Movie had good Effort- but the Movie "Babadook" has not.
Sorry to say, but the mother character really would need help up from the Start. Essie Davis looked to me like the Jack Nickolsen Charakter in Shining- already Loony from the Beginning. And every Move felt like she would be on Drugs. I just waited for saliva to drip out of her mouth corner. The Kid character played by Noah Wiseman is so annoying, I want him to get hurt or "smash his head to the wall" like even his Movie Mom want's to do in her later "Possession". Spoiler Alert; Mom is totally off the line- even poor Doggie does not get out alive. She opened the "Badadook Book" and Evil is taking her Soul. Clever Kid is using combat skills to prevent getting killed. At the end- See "Conjuring" and many other Movies- burp up some Slime- and lock the evil Spirit in the Basement; (A scene just like in the Short Movie) If you get a Chance- watch the 2005 Version and avoid the long term- please get it over with- Movie. I'm a big Horror and Mystery Fan- but sorry- "The Badadook" did not creep up on me.

A very nice piece of a movie. Sad and disturbing, but not a horror film. This movie should make you think about life and the meaning of it; The way we treat other people around us. It should make us remember our own mistakes and re-think them. It made me remember scenes out of my own school days. I turn almost 40 now, but that makes me sure- everybody above the age of 18, will definitely have similar memories. Love is a big message. Maybe sometimes we love to little or should show our feelings to other people more. I really did like that movie; The characters are well written and the storyline is perfect. Don't watch if you await a horror movie! It's more like a "coming of Age" Drama with a great message.

Expect nothing. Because this is what you will get. Or maybe expect everything you already have seen, just in a better way. We have seen it all. Some of the Actors I'm sure will read the next Textbooks before signing a contract. This is a big bag of predictable Boredom. Usually I love to write more words about something- but this time. BAD acting - BAD effects- horrible Ending. To be true- I really had to fight my self to watch it till the END. If you are really into END OF THE WORLD subjects, wait for the Maya Calender to run out next year."Smile" or read a good book. Save your money and time. Thats all there is to say. Oh- I forgot- The Soundtrack was quiet good.

Love it or hate it ....

"Lynch" meets "Lars von Trier" with a mix of "Rob Zombie" and good old "Hammer Studios". I used to be a big"Twin Peaks" fan. I would say, American Horror Story" is something getting close to that kind of mind twisting Show. Weird twists and turns, there is something new behind each corner- sometimes to jump you- sometimes to confuse you. What ever lurks behind these closed doors in that haunting, you want to open them or walk of right the way. Some People won't even make it through the door.(Like my boyfriend*smile*) I'm sure many will say- "What a crap!" But !! On the other hand there will be many others taking a walk into that "Ghost Story". Believe me- you need to be a little bit crazy to enjoy the ride. But be sure- you wont be disappointed at all! Lean back and let it creep upon you. Just a suggestion: Invite some crazy friends, pop some corn - get beers and watch the show together.
