The Phoenix Lights (2005)
Complete rubbish!
Any person who watches this documentary and links it to aliens from outer space is a complete imbecile. I've been fascinated with UFOlogy since I was a kid. I've read many books on the subject and have come to the conclusion that only a very small percentage of material has any real credibility. People who believe the Phoenix Lights were 'extraterrestrials just takin' a cruise over Arizona' are the same people who read and believe the rubbish Whitley Strieber writes. I almost laughed when one of the locals said "We've never had anything happen like this before"... Really? Didn't Travis Walton get abducted on November 5th 1975 in Snowflake, AZ? And didn't Hollywood make a movie about it? I guess none of the locals heard about that...Stanton Friedman wasn't in this 'crockumentary' because I'm quite sure being the logical thinker and expert of the subject he is-that he quickly ruled out extraterrestrial...It was definitely a UFO, but people have to stop equating 'UFO' with 'aliens.' The media love the UFO acronym because most people have been conditioned (from books and movies mostly) to believe that UFO's are from outer space in almost all cases. Those lights could have been a number of things. My guess is that it was a new technology being tested. People have to understand that the newest technology the military uses; technology that the general public knows about-is already up to 40 years old. Apparently a few eyewitnesses also saw fighter jets move toward these objects and they suddenly shot straight up into the sky! Hahahaa!! Even if that did happen, the military could have been testing maneuvers (or manoeuvers?) of the craft(s); their ability to avoid missile attacks or move to strategic positions quickly. As much as we all want peace there are too many powerful and very wealthy people who have an extreme lust for money and more power. These people buy into advanced military technology for the purpose of war. Wars make money for a lot of people, let's not forget that. There were no credible witnesses in this film-just a bunch of locals who wanted to be in a film. Oh wait, Edgar Mitchell was in it...but anyway. There was no inkling of evidence to support the theory the objects were extraterrestrial in origin. UFOs? Definitely. ET's? Negative. The producer saw the opportunity and preyed on the ignorant, kind of like what Mel Gibson is great at. Terrible film. Complete rubbish...next!
YellowBrickRoad (2010)
Wow! This one has possibly defined a new genre!
BORROR!
As in- immensely borrrrring.
What a yawnfest.
Psychological thriller? C'mon. The only thing good about this straight-to dollar-bin piece of trash were the opening credits. Terrible editing throughout, except for the theatre sequence...which was at the very end of the movie- of course. Who compared this to Blair Witch? Dude, I saw Blair Witch in the theatre. About 10 people walked out 20 minutes into the movie. EVERYONE would walk out of this movie-except the film makers friends and the actors who didn't get paid to 'act' in it. Even if there were good actors in the movie, it was so horrible I couldn't notice their performance amongst all the drivel. How can you act out your scenes convincingly when you're given awful material to begin with?
Seriously, this movie was like eating a sandwich with nothing but air between the two pieces of bread.
It's times like this when I wish I had a time-machine. This movie makes you want to jump in and dial the clock back about an hour and half.
Next.
