If you don't like this, you can't call yourself a fan of the genre

I dont even know what to say to all the negative reviews.. maybe they went in expecting an Annabelle, or The Nun type of horror.

Only for the hardcores !!
17 October 2020
Oh My !! Wat a piece of art. Its not just a movie, its a horror experience. Yet i do understand it having such a low rating. Its not for everybody. For a casual horror night with friends its nothing, for hardcores its everything. It stayed with me for a few days.

PS : a treat for horror buffs :- The Tunnel, Leaving D.C., The Borderlands, Hell House LLC, Wekufe, Demon(polish)

Takes away a part of you, and gives you something in return
26 January 2020
This movie stayed with me for atleast a month. Saw it alone in the cinema as i knew it wud'nt be everyone's cup of tea; and didn't want my friends to take away from the experience by passing comments on the visuals just to kill time. And did it pay off. It does drain you emotionally. But as i said before, it stayed with me for quite some time and left me with a feeling of love n sadness which I understand and also not. ThumbsUp for this masterpiece 👌🏻👍🏻

6 December 2019
It might b just me, but the movie kept me very very interested right from the beginning, but after it ended it gave me a feeling I cannot describe.. something pure and heavenly.. there are very very few movies that create such a response these days.. god bless the director/writer.. ThumbsUp for Dark Encounters

Nothing beyond these 3 in the genre..
30 November 2019
When you watch a 3.5hr movie in 2019 and they just fly past and you don't even realise, that says it all.

Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are genre defining actors who once again hit the home run. All three of em' gave on of the best performances of their career. De Niro was the engine that kept the movie running. Joe Pesci as Russel said so much without saying much. The 'less is more' blended perfectly. But its Al Pacino that brought the shine to the movie in his own way. A stand-up 'say it to your face' kinda guy trying to do what he can in the era of gangsters all around as Jimmy Hoffa. He had that pull that makes you want to root for the guy and hope it all works out for him in the end even though the film synopsis clearly mentioned he got slayed if you are not familier with the Jimmy Hoffa name. All in all it was a work of art, with all three legends complimenting each other and Martin Scorsese makin them gel into the movie. 10/10

Low zrating is beyond me !!
11 July 2019
I am a horror movie freak n watch horror movies each n every night , with exception only when I can't find a decent movie. I am just shocked to see such low rating of this genuinely creepy flick.. I would personally rate this at 9 stars

Abhay Deol : The Road less taken
2 June 2019
I remember when Abhay Deol was doing movies like DevD, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Manorama 6ft Under, Socha Na Tha, there wasn't much space in Bollywood for movies like those as it was a gamble. He never got to be the most successful commercially, but whenever there would be a talk of bringing about change in Bollywood from masala musical movies to artistic thought provoking cinema or dark or satirical; Abhay Deol for me would be the name at the top. Sure Nawazuddin Siddiqui is mostly mentioned when talking about this changing genre of films along with Anurag Kashyap which is ofcourse true. But Abhay Deol was the first guy to start taking those risks especially considering he belongs to one of the top n most successful families i.e. Deol Family. Happy to see Abhay Deol back on screen with a lot more platforms to perform with online streaming playforms. What i mean is Abhay Deol indeed is truly an "ARTIST"

I don't understand the hate
13 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The World we live in is not much different from Westeros. So much hate and negativity. When i saw people hating 'The Long Night', i was honestly shocked. Coz it was the best piece of cinema i ever saw movie/show/anything. Not just coz of visuals or storyline, but the rollercoaster of emotions i had. And now people hating 'The Bells' is just ridiculous. I personally thought the significance of hearing the bell n Danny turning mad was just outstanding. How cudnt people get that view ?Sometimes i feel just coz the show is about to end n people can't accept it and understand that all good things hav an end and thats why they are being negative. Sometimes i think its just the way people are these days. They just want a reason to make memes n spread negativity so they just attack somebodys hard work. Whatever it is, this has become my favourite show of all time after this season. And i supported Daenerys all along, i wont abandon her now. She may be the MAD QUEEN, but she is MY Queen.. Things men do for Love.. DRACARYS

Either you turn it off after 20mins, or you fall in love and remember it your whole life
6 May 2019
This is a beautiful film. But you have to watch it with an open mind and willingness to grasp whatever and wherever the story takes you. Its the story of a deaf and mute couple who give birth to girl who can listen n speak and later to a boy whose normal too. Its a progression of their story. But yeah this movie isn't for your normal Joe's who just want commercial entertainment as the narrative is slow to build. I can say its a film of emotions. Metaphorically and otherwise, as the couple's disability makes them converse through emotions. Its the type of film either you fell in love with, or you switch it off after 20mins or so. I belong to the former as this movie is so close to my heart as a film and also coz it gives me that nostalgic feeling of childhood as I was very young when it came. 'Aankhon mein kya, is dil se poocho zara'

Kesari (2019)

The Magic Masala tasted good
27 March 2019
Not very often do we find a so called commercial masala film who is also interesting and keeps you engaged. Kesari does just that. It is an out n out commercial film, but the way its presented with satirical situational humour, engaging historical plot, very little songs and no over the top emotional scenes about promising to be born again when dying. Anurag Singh keeps the track linear and basic yet adding a little pinch of the B-Town masala in every area that worked wonders. The plot though historic is not over the top as the story of 21 Sikh Soldiers fighting an army of 10000 Afghans is already something that seems impossible yet true. Thats what i think did THE REAL WONDERS to the film as knowing those 21 Sikhs did actually do that impossible task lets you believe in anything else that the director might have wanted to be a little over the top; as the actual history itself is such.. All i can say is those 21 Sikhs made me proud and Akshay Kumar letting the world know about it deserves respect and the film does justice to the bravery shown by those men during those nervous n tension filled trying times. My Hats Off 👍🏻

Its not just a film, its art..
3 March 2019
But Beware, it stays with you for sometime.. its not just a movie to be seen, its an experience to be had. And the way the story portrays loneliness is poetic in a very dark way. THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR YOUR NORMAL CINE GOER.. Its way more than just entertainment.

Wow!! What a pity
28 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The filmmakers had such a great concept about finding an old church beneath the earth's surface.. and instead of working on it and making a movie about findings inside of that church, they got lost in the environment around that church.. i wonder what end result could have been if they had taken the 'Grave Encounters' route about insides of that structure.. the way they wasted the concept is a disgrace..

Horror is a lot more than jump-scares
24 August 2018
Horror is something that is so dark n unbelievable that it shocks you.. unfortunately bollywood has been trapped in a bubble of superstardom and crore-club.. hate to say this but even hollywood has been moving along those lines for quite some time now, and then there is french cinema, korean cinema etc and a part of bollywood that have been really trying.. online streaming is a blessing everybody will understand in the time to come.. Netflix is the catalyst that was needed to change bollywood and boy is it going to turn the tides.. i can already see our 'superstars' thinking what the hell did just happen.. As far as Ghoul is concerned, go watch and see whether u like it or u like it.. cheers to netflix!!
