Enough has been said about Season 1 so... Firstly please give Season 2 a chance. There is such a marked difference tone-wise from the time period, to coming out of the burbs into the gritty part of LA, to the camerawork and lighting to the perplexing twists and turns of the narrative. However it does all come to light in the end. And satisfyingly so in my opinion ! I see from other reviews that some are like "Here we go with the cop-thing" and although important, to me it kinda played in the backdrop for context and emerges for more of a role towards the end during the climax.
Deborah Ayorinde and Luke James are both excellent and I always love seeing Ms Pam Grier who looks amazing as usual ! I was equally as super-excited to see Ti West as one of the directors on board who didn't disappoint as he handled the episodes that were more horror-centric and I am an avid horror fiend. The only sorta spoiler (but not really) is I never thought I'd look at Raggedy Ann / Andy in such a dark light.
Now we wait for Season 3 and I wonder what Little Marvin has up his sleeve for the next installment ??!
