rgv at his best
30 August 2018
The movie ,still, is creepy after all these years...this is a highly underrated work from rgv ,it is better than all his crime films combined. revathi gives a stellar performance...the movie is gripping till the end...i hope rgv revisits this genre athough 'bhooth nd icecream' shud be better ignored as aberrations...

Hereditary (2018)

an intense modern day horror classic
29 August 2018
The forte of this movie is that it is unrelenting till the end. it is not a typical horror movie as, it doesn't rely on jump scares and loud bgm at all . the film has a strong script and some great performances by the actors. The story, in a nutshell, falls in the lines of rosemary's baby. The movie is a slow burner suspense drama with some intensely disturbing scenes interspersed. Not one frame in the movie appears fake or cheesy.there is sufficient character development for the audiences to empathize with the characters. as a result the movie delivers a truly immersive emotional ride to the audience...a must watch for the horror film fans

Deyyam (1996)

awesome underrated pure horror flick

the movie retains its grip until the last 20 minutes or so. the climax literally auto destructs the awfully mystical atmosphere created till then. not a great performance from the actors except for jayasudha. apart from these drawbacks the movie is still good ...

the background score is one of the scariest of all time.

fantastic location which sustains the spine chilling eerie atmosphere almost till the end

varma's direction is commendable and the shot taking is awesome.

highly recommended if you like horror movie genre. watch it late night for best experience
